Meh, makeup is stupid. I hate artificiality. If I had things my way nobody would wear it.

No you fool, us men have a sweet deal going. While the lady folk are applying make-up and all that, us males can get away with a quick shower, some deodorant and a clean shirt. Don't ruin that.

how would Kiss look without makeup? ridiculous...
overdoing make up is bad on men and women (make up is good if you dont notice it right away). But sure, men should care for their look too, if they want.

Well there not doing any harm, so they should be able to wear it.

Having said that it looks ridiculous and is very cringe worthy.

Are we talking "make me pretty" make-up? Not "I'm going on camera/stage" make-up.

I welcome it, for one, it'd be hilarious.

For two, it'd be a lot harder to tell who's a dude and who's a chick, which works in my favour... Wuhahahahaahahah *lightning*

make up for men?
war paint has been around for a VERY long time, you know.

all kidding aside though, I thought make was supposed to fade with equality because women are no longer measured by their looks (ideally), but now it seems it means that men ALSO will be judged by their looks.

shit!

I am against make-up in general so yeah. Not counting the one for movies/news anchors, cause that's pretty much necessary

I cannot picture any scenario in which I would want to wear make-up myself[footnote]Well, not any realistic scenario... I imagine I would wear it if I was paid well and/or threatened...[/footnote], but I don't have a problem with guys that want to, as quite frankly, it doesn't have an effect on my life.

Sure, why not. I have no idea WHY they'd want to, though.

I've worn light stage makeup. Even a light application makes me sweat (even when not under stagelight), feels slippery, is a bit irritating and doesn't make me look much better. Wearing anything resembling that all the time sounds awful.

I'll be honest, the poll question isn't that clear. Do I think men should be able to wear make up? Sure, they should able to, we'd hardly live in a free society if we banned something as trivial as a male wearing make up. Do I approve of men wearing make up? Not really, I think our society focuses too much on appearance already and it's bad enough that make up is practically a social requirement for one gender, I don't want to see that happen to the other.
I must say that I generally concur with your sentiments.

Should we outlaw it? Hell no, people an do whatever the fuck they want, but that doesn't mean I approve of it necessarily. I personally like men and I don't find men wearing makeup to be very attractive, other than that whatever.

Unless you're cosplaying or something then go for it.

OP, you should also add "complete indifference" to your poll so as to not skew results, I suspect many escapists just don't care that much.

I'm not keen on makeup full stop. Nothing screams turn off more than watching an otherwise pretty lady apply layer after layer of shit and come out the other end slightly more uncanny-valley.

Makeup on men? I wont stop you but I almost certainly will laugh.

i think they should be able too, but ...what kinda makeup are we talking about? the skin tone clown face woman wear or somthing else?

personally im against any makeup at all, unless on TV, the lights make you look paler than what you normally are and it just brings the colours back. in real life though, i refuse to hide behind a mask. if you dont like my natural face well, to bad for you.

If men want to wear make up then go for it.

Those "alpha nails" are ridiculous though. The target consumer are usually the most homophobic pricks out there but "alpha" makes them cool I guess? Give me a break.
