I'd like to see a sort of DA:O but Mass Effect game. We get to choose an alien race, and we go for a nice romp through space. Should be quite entertaining.
This, let's play as a different character of any race (OK probably not any race, maybe just sticking with the council races, Quarians and Krogan probably, oh and Drell, I'm sure a few people would want to be a Drell).
There are other stories outside of Shepard's and hey we've only seen 4 spectres throughout the two games (including Shepard) let's play as another one of them. Political intrigue and assassinations, you could totally work a good game out of that.
Mass Effect is a very focused world, most everything you do contributes to the fight against the Reaper. In this respect it is a 'smaller' world then Dragon Age relative to it's stories scope.
It is a story about Shepard and I think that's the end of Mass Effect. You CANNOT top an
Infinitely old sentient machine race that has existed since the dawn of time to repeat universal genocide an inestimable number of times cycling throughout all of history.
as your antagonizing force.
Anything later in the series will be 100% trivial in comparison unless ME3 ends in a complete tragedy that has humanity wiped out.
Dragon Age on the other hand, much smaller scope, one nation against a small blight that the Dwarves fights every day on the way to the grocer. So one nation, one year, in a setting with AGE in it's title and has lore focus on at least 10 times that land mass.
So Dragon Age is totally milk friendly imo.
That was kind of a tangent but if we want more of something then more DA plox, not Mass Effect. D=
The Blight was 'tiny'?, as in case you missed out some very important information, it takes an Arch Demon to organise them. Before they they just sort of charge in to the sharp pointy things, they don't plan or make an Ambush.
And an Arch-Demon is immortal.
I think that Shepards story should end after ME3. After that who knows. I personally would like to play a game that is set on the ME universe. Multiplayer, spin-off...As long as the games are good and it's not going to be milked to death(I don't think that Bioware will but you never know about EA).
I'm willing to bet my quad that Shep will die at the end of the third one. The Reapers are a scary mutha. However, should he/she not get fragged, I think at least he should end up "Superman"'d and by that I mean crippled. At the very least, he/she would be able to have a cameo. But, I really like the idea of the monument to Shepard. Hopefully, Bioware continues the series but with a "choose your protagonist" style. Playing as a Geth might be pretty sweet also. As for an antagonist, how do you top the Reapers. Mixed feelings in any case. Don't want to see it end but don't want to see it bloated and corrupt either.

I didn't miss anything. The dwarves won't help because they have to deal with the mindless onslaught day in day out. Talking to Alistair about other Grey Wardens gives the impression that if they others came they'd mop it up relatively quickly.
The reason it was so deadly and terrible (Which I didn't say it wasn't, I said it was small.) was because there was threat of civil war, and betrayal cost the Grey Warden forces their entire army before the fight could really start. This blight was ended by Two Wardens, a Witch, and anyone they picked up to help. More of their difficulty was in using their skill to actively RAISE an army from scratch while the Darkspawn had a head start on them.
The other urgency was saving Fereldan, the blight was doomed from the start given the other nations, but Ferelden's fate is what you fought for, not the world's.
There is lore references to other Blights being something terribly larger then one nation of a world. This time the hero caught it in the first year and smothered it before it spread.
Also, the Archdemon organizes them to one cause but doesn't make them intelligent necessarily, Only the Architect managed that. As referenced in Awakening by the coordinated stealth assault in the intro that the Gray Wardens had never witnessed before and The Withered's ability to speak.
The devs when talking about DA2 have mentioned how DA1 was so small and they want this next story to take place over 10 years, show how 1 year was such a small part of history.
Think of real life wars, 1 year and only the invaded country saw combat. That would be referred to as pretty small don't you think? (Again, not saying that means it isn't terrible because it was small)
I will admit tiny was an overstatement but that was kind of intentional for impact sake.
let me just put this out there, I'd play the hell out of a Mass Effect MMO. Set it few years after the Reaper invasion so every race is available (maybe even geth). The only trip up it could have is that shepherds actions would drastically affect the universe of a Mass Effect MMO. are the rachni around? Did Wrex survive to unite the Krogan? Did the Quarians go to war with the Geth? Did Earth survive the Reaper attack?
What enemies will there be left, if the Reapers go bye-bye in no.3 then so do the evil Geth, thats two majors gone and the collectors have gone so thats in reality the 3 main bad guys gone. Besides that I want to play as a turian or even a geth (don't know why though)
