It looks good, right? I really can't wait. The only thing that annoys me is that the person in those videos always picked either the Renegade (bottom of conversation wheel) or neutral (middle of wheel) conversation choices, and I always pick Paragon (top of wheel), so that didn't seem like the Commander Shepard I'm used to. Then again, my Commander Shepard is also a woman (because the VA for Female Shepard is Jennifer Hale), so...CakeDragon said:

Yeah, that's what that wheel was, the player was choosing what Shepard (the main character) said. Top is Paragon (good), middle is Neutral, bottom is Renegade (Bad), left is to ask for more information, right is to advance the conversation (sounds more complex than it is). You notice that, in the first video, Shepard sounded really bloodthirsty and said he hated sneaking? That's because the player chose the Renegade options, the Paragon version would have been a bit less willing to fight and a bit more willing to use subterfuge. It goes a bit beyond that, as Paragon isn't really "good" and Renegade isn't really "bad", at least not in the traditional sense, they're both more attitudes (more like "Idealistic vs Ruthless" than "Good vs Bad).CakeDragon said:Ah, so, like, the conversations you have are completely customised..? FF 13. Why? Well, because the only FF game I've played is the DS port of 4, and I wanna see how hard it would be to jump nine games ahead, how similar or different they are. Not to mention, for "colourful, silly anime characters," the character designs looks pretty down to earth. Sort of.

I'd go with Final Fantasy 13, simply because it's accessible to more people. No exclusivity bullcrap.
My experience with the FF series is limited, but I think I prefer real time action before turnbased combat. I also loved the first ME.
Mass Effect because I played the first one and it made a really good impression on me. Can't wait for more both story and gameplay wise.
I find it kind of hard to hype for FFXIII though. Not because I have that much against Final Fantasy (even though I prefer it in small doses) but because the marketing for it here in the west has been horrible. They have basically released some unedited videos of gameplay amd cutscenes from one portion of the game, we have a few vague details about a few aspects and that's it. I mean it looks cool but I have no idea what to expect from it!

I'm gonna have to go with Final Fantasy 13. Even though I don't like Final Fantasy or Mass Effect. But I'd rather play Final Fantasy then Mass Effect.
I've never played Mass Effect, and I've played a few Final Fantasy games, but I'm actually more interested in Mass Effect 2 than Final Fantasy XIII.
its a tough chose for me since i love ME n most of the FF's but im chooseing ff13 since it has Viera's again. im a sucker for nekos so im drawn more to ff13 even though there nekos but close enough
