I don't know, Lisa is pretty awesome. I mean, even though she can be pushy and judgmental, generally she is a very sweet and smart girl. She's definitely my favorite character. Although, my girlfriend is exactly like her, so I might be a bit biased.

I never thought she was annoying until around season 7 or 8... or the Florida episode?

hmmm, she is sometimes quite annoying, but I think most of the time she's more boring than annoying. She's definetely not as funny as homer or bart, and most of the episodes that focus around her are usually really serious.
She existed.
That annoyed me enough.
But what annoys me more is the fact that The Simpsons didn't just stop while they were still funny.
The more recent episodes are pitiful.

All the Simpsons annoy me now-a-days. My laughs for them died in the 90s. I wish they'd just stop.
Wow i had no idea everyone hated her so much, or felt the same way about any other cartoon character.
No character in any of these shows annoy me, and although it never really occurs to me with shows like the Simpson's i actually enjoy seeing people's bad qualities because it makes it more believable. Partly why i liked all of the characters of FF13 xD

None of the main characters are annoying. They all contrast and compliment each other very well. They are also human which is more than can be said for most characters in TV.

OT: I think Lisa is cool. She is the only intelligent character in Springfield (besides that professor and Duffman) and it is fun watching her try to survive in a world that values stupidity. My only beef about her is the fact she plays a Saxophone instead of a Trumpet but whatever.

OT: Sometimes Lisa is annoying, but usually if it annoys us, it annoys a few characters in the show as well. Bart and Homer especially. Lisa's "know-it-all"-ness is presented as pretty strong character flaw. That said, I hate her when she becomes the all-purpose "smart person who knows what's happening to forward plot exposition".
