I have hated the Simpsons for years. All the characters are like we are great and everyone else is below us in the world.

Now that you mention it, she is pretty annoying. She is too "perfect." The entire appeal of The Simpsons is depicting and satirizing ordinary human failings, and having a main character with no immediately apparent failings spoils that.
