Jazz is awesome. Though it looks like I am the only one that has voted for it. Something is wrong with the world...

I am also a fan of rock, metal, classical, certain country artists...

P.S Am I the only one that is a tad annoyed at the people saying "Genres I Like" and then listing 10 different subgenres of the same genre.

P.P.S Saying Genre so many times is tripping me out.

just so that we're on the same planet here...nationalist socialism was the Nazi party...everyone aware of that?
Yeah, although there has always been a racist, elitist attitude throughout "true" black metal communities, both artists and fans, there are those that take it a step further into blatant nordic / arayan supremacy, often incorporating amalgamations of runic elements along with wartime riech symbolism.

I'm not saying every fan of black metal is racist - far from it, but you tend to get that more and more consistently as you get to the hardest of the hardcore followers.

This is, of course, a broad generalization on a specific subject and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Oh I know the history, what with Varg Vikernes and all those white power black metal "artists", I just try not to sound too full of rhetoric and academic dogma when i post. i find it annoys people when you try to have a discussion. but when people toss phrases like nationalist socialist around without knowing what they actually mean i feel i must interject. if at the very least to inform. i'm quite familiar with white power groups, imagery, and ideology due to an unfortunate run-in when i was a teenager.

I really need to define my own genre. Last FM never helped me find any music.

Of course that could be because I only find about one song I like from each artist.

But I find most of my favourite music is classified as pop.

Dance and trance. Rock(as in one republic), and reggea(but only bob marley). Quite simple, but i think it's a strange mix .

I like Rock (classic rock, mostly), Folk, Blues and Jazz pretty much equally, but picked "Jazz" because it makes me seem cultured and lets me justifiably wear a beret without being French or in the military.

Other: a crapload of genres, from classical to 'psytrance'. My favorite genre is jazz though, especially hard bop and bebop.

I like anything really except rap and that stupid doosh doosh doosh nightclub music. Right now I'm listening to Fear Factory (hope Bell gets his shit together), Slipknot (let the falming begin), Mozart, Death (Chuck Schuldiner RIP) and Symphony X.

I love folk music. Especially Irish and Scottish.

I generally hate metal but I love Korpiklaani.

I will listen to any genre as long as it sounds good, but I largely listen to rock.

This. I have just received Lily Allens second album, and put it between The libertines and Madrugada. Other places on the shelf, I have The Haunted, Iron Maiden, Malk de Kojn(danish rap), Psyclon Nine and The Dresden Dolls.

I don't like any one type of music, I have a huge mix and jumble of different songs. Although, country, and rap are my least favorite. I only have about, maybe one of each kind.

Although my favorite type of music is obvious, I love a song that is horn driven. Loud, fast paced, trumpets, saxophones, clarinets, etc.

Examples being:

Feeling Stronger Everyday - Chicago
Get It On - Chase
Walking On Sunshine - Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies

Disturbed has its moments, too. I particularly like Meaning of Life.
But I'm very open about music, so while I prefer Hard Rock, I'll even listen to a few country, new metal or even trance titles.
Okay..I do have a few songs by Johnny Cash. I have from Disturbed, to Henry Mancini(Pink Panther), to Johnny Cash, to the Beastie Boys. Just mainly Rock and Metal. But I have to say, I like older music mostly. Many new songs just don't quite capture me like the older ones do.

Mostly rock. Also a bit of rap (good rap, like Immortal Technique).

Actually I listen to everything, except Jonas Brothers and the rest of the commercial crap that they fling at us.
