Poll: New Weapons VS Old Weapons

I'm going to ignore the OP for reasons unstated.

I'ma go with old, just because I think they look cooler, and they're more fun to brandish. I wouldn't mind swinging around a sword, but if I swung around a gun, I'd probably accidentally kill somebody.

i like a combo of both cause old weapons were more creative you could do some crazy stuff with a long sword but i love my ak or maybe we could compromise and make a gun that shoots swords

I prefer melee weapons and bows to guns. If I had the choice, I would completely abolish firearm production everywhere.

Swords. They are good for over-compensating. Also, aside from akimbo, martial weapons make you move around more and thus look cooler.

Swords make someone stronger than someone using guns.
Swords don't need ammo like bullets.
Swords have a lot more options than bullets (slash, stab, swing, parry, deflect, others; where as bullets just SHOOT).
Swords can decapitate people. I'd like to see a gun do that.
Arrows can be made a whole lot easier than bullets.

I do believe my answer is obvious.

I once witnessed an old WW2 American rifle shoot through the thickest end of beer barrel and out the thickest end on the other side and still continue with enough force to kill someone on the other side. Wont see that with many standard weapons now.

Alright escapists i'm wondering do you prefer old weapons (Long sword, crossbow, longbow) or New weapons (Ak-47,Uzi,.45 pistol)?

I prefer old weapons like the long sword due to the fact it takes more skill to wield them. Now i'm not saying it doesn't take skill to kill something with a fire arm it's just I think it takes less skill.

I'd rather shoot an arrow, but rather be killed by a bullet. As, being volleyed with arrows is such a..painful, and immensely horrible way to die ;(.

Older weapons are more interesting.

But... Which is better is situational.

If you're talking guns VS. melee weapons, a gun is actually a disadvantage in certain situations.

But, at anything beyond about 5 meters (15 feet or so), guns win most situations.
