Most people come to the escapist to watch Zero Punctuation. Badges are there so that people are motivated to try watching/reading something else on the Escapist. (Or so I assume.)

I was under the impression the new badges were used to advertise shows on the Escapist other than Zero Punctuation.

No, because I don't think badges should be awarded for the other shows. It feels almost like I'm being bribed into watching them, but I like them, and want to watch them, not watch them out of some sense of 'must get this badge.'

Remove all badges related to shows, and just make sure people know how excellent they are.

Everybody already watches Zero Punctuation here...in fact i'm pretty sure that's what brought a vast majority of the users. Watching him tear games a new one and laughing till your ribs split wide open is in itself a badge

It's all very well getting a badge for acing a quiz, or as a mark of recognition towards a pillar of the forum community, but for watching a video? For going through the laborious task of sitting motionless at something fairly entertaining, with little or no effort on my behalf?
