No, really. Forget all you jerks, you all know the only reason anybody is visiting this thread is to plug their own avatar or kiss up to some forum legends. At least mine is taken from a brilliant piece of acting rather than a tired internet meme. I despise all the gif avatars on this site now-I'm almost certain they're part of the reason the site loads and runs so slow compared to other places.

BorrowedTime has a cool avatar, one of the few self-picture avatars I've seen that really works without feeling obnoxious or egotistical.

I think they are, and that break dancing bear avatar was definitely noticeable. No one ever remembers mine probably because it's crap and cluttered.

I'd have to agree with most of those.
I think Furburts is probably the easiest to remember for me just because of Bruce Campbell.
Also any of those that contain multiple colours seizure flashing in them.
