It's an online game, everything you do is either a newbie mistake or playing cheap in their eyes.
Yet they're the ones that always camp...
I've never camped, I can't do it, it's just too boring.

Make sure you take trophies from your kills as well. I suggest shrunken heads as they tend to make your foe shut up.

OT yeah take his gun. he died so you take it and use it. He can't complain because he probaly would do the same.

yes i think picking up guns is a fantastic tactic especially in call of duty waw when your usin a low leveled gun on a map with people who are 18 times better than you (that was a depressing match)

what annoys me is in dark sector (pretty good game actually)

the enemy weapons have an infection sensor on them (you are infected btw)

which makes them disentagrate...yes disentagrate within about thirty seconds of you picking them up....and while you have your bladed throwing disk (the glaive) it is still a pain trying to kill a room full of armour soldiers with shotguns whitout a gun
That gatling gun towards the end lets you use it nonstop. And also... you can buy guns in that game.
Did you find a vendor in the manholes? He sells you guns!

yeah i allways wondered about the gatling guns lol i loved those scenes

and yeah i did (that guy was soooo blatently trying to be the merchent from RE4)

but a bit stupidly i saved up for the sawn of shotgun thing so i didnt have the cash for an AK or shotty but i personally still think its a bit annoying about the infection sensors

and between dark sector players dont you think those blue invisible enemys that fired the shotgun like blue stuff at you were just over powerd or am i just a noob lol

If you're good enough to kill a superior enemy with an inferior weapon , then you are worthy of the superior gun.

Blue invisible enemies? It's been a while since I finished it. I mainly remember those big fuckers in the armour that could only die from three hits to the ba--- wait! yes those creatures that crawled and threw lightning or whatever at you. I had difficulty on that bit in the mine too with the train cars and ice and such. That was quite difficult, I mainly froze them with nitrogen canisters.
i remember now, god they were annoying.

Today, I was playing Combat Arms on Elimination and I took some dude's gun. He then started to complain the I was a "noob" and "poor because I couldn't afford a gun". I started thinking, why put the ability to pick up guns if people will complain. So people of the Escapist, what do you think?
It's one of the main ways you survive counter-strike, so fuck them.

While I have not played the game in question, I have always and shall continue to be of the opinion that if it is an ITEM YOU CAN USE and your virtual foe HAS ONE WHEN THEY DIE, then you should ALWAYS have the option to PICK IT UP
This is true, that is why it annoyed me in KOTOR when you killed certain enemies with lightsabers and such and you couldn't pick them up.

Of course you have the right to pick up any weapon or item from your vanquished enemy's corpse. I still wait for the day when this will FINALLY get inside the game developer's minds and make this mandatory in all games.

Yes you should be able to pick up guns off of enemys, they used it and you killed them, you should be rewarded with their gun if you want to use it.

And anyways, i've seen plenty of U.S. soldiers acually drop their M-16's for Ak-47's, weather it be for the fact that they may have ran out of ammo or they just wanted to use it, they can, why, because they killed the guy using it.

I was kind of miffed when I found out that out of the 100-billion available guns in Borderlands, you can't get most of the ones your enemies carry. Some, yes but not every last one

Developer 1: hey how about an invisible enemy that makes bearly any noise when it runs....oh yeah also lets give it a one hit kill attack

Developer 2: Shall we make its two other moves obcenely powerful so that when it hits you your screen goes red and it becomes even harder to see?

Developer 1: Naturally

I am pretty sure in some wars the soldiers ditched their own weapons in favour of the enemies for reliability reasons. If I recall in Vietnam, American soldiers threw away their M-16 rifles and used AK-47s from dead Vietnamese soldiers.

And according to Mikhail Kalashnikov in 2006, soldiers in Iraq were using using AK-47s in preference to the standard-issue M-16...

http://www.physicsforums.com/showthread.php?t=118133

So I guess it happens in real life, so why not in a game?
The germans also dumped the MP-40 for the Russian's PPSh when they could, I believe.

He's the noob for getting killed by you. There are no rules in war (except the ones the game has made). I do cheap stuff all the time. When I played a game of Halo with two buddies, I waited until they started fighting each other, then picked off both with a sniper rifle when their health was low. Sure, I got complaints, but I won, so... I win.

I await that frabjous day as well, but I don't expect to see it come any time soon as long as developers will still try to hide behind the 'GAME BALLANCE!' excuse.

Frankly as far as I'm concerned, if you have to have something that jarringly immersion-breaking you are doing it wrong.

Just like the classic "Bring me five claws from yon bears!" quest where each bear somehow only has a max of one claw and only 2 bears out of 9 drop will have one...

Game balance my ass.

Grumble...

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Reduce, the amount of money you spend, buy a cheap gun and use teamwork. Reuse, pick up your enemies dropped. Go to town with an M249. Recycle, their dead bodies. WIN!!!
