I've never camped, I can't do it, it's just too boring.

And also... you can buy guns in that game.MattRooney06 said:yes i think picking up guns is a fantastic tactic especially in call of duty waw when your usin a low leveled gun on a map with people who are 18 times better than you (that was a depressing match)
what annoys me is in dark sector (pretty good game actually)
the enemy weapons have an infection sensor on them (you are infected btw)
which makes them disentagrate...yes disentagrate within about thirty seconds of you picking them up....and while you have your bladed throwing disk (the glaive) it is still a pain trying to kill a room full of armour soldiers with shotguns whitout a gun
Did you find a vendor in the manholes? He sells you guns!
Blue invisible enemies? It's been a while since I finished it. I mainly remember those big fuckers in the armour that could only die from three hits to the ba--- wait! yes those creatures that crawled and threw lightning or whatever at you. I had difficulty on that bit in the mine too with the train cars and ice and such. That was quite difficult, I mainly froze them with nitrogen canisters.MattRooney06 said:Daedalus1942 said:That gatling gun towards the end lets you use it nonstop. yeah i allways wondered about the gatling guns lol i loved those scenes
and yeah i did (that guy was soooo blatently trying to be the merchent from RE4)
but a bit stupidly i saved up for the sawn of shotgun thing so i didnt have the cash for an AK or shotty but i personally still think its a bit annoying about the infection sensors
and between dark sector players dont you think those blue invisible enemys that fired the shotgun like blue stuff at you were just over powerd or am i just a noob lol
It's one of the main ways you survive counter-strike, so fuck them.Draco Kaiser said:Today, I was playing Combat Arms on Elimination and I took some dude's gun. He then started to complain the I was a "noob" and "poor because I couldn't afford a gun". I started thinking, why put the ability to pick up guns if people will complain. So people of the Escapist, what do you think?
especialy towards the ending scene when the game just spams loads of them at youDaedalus1942 said:Blue invisible enemies? It's been a while since I finished it. This is true, that is why it annoyed me in KOTOR when you killed certain enemies with lightsabers and such and you couldn't pick them up.DoctorNick said:While I have not played the game in question, I have always and shall continue to be of the opinion that if it is an ITEM YOU CAN USE and your virtual foe HAS ONE WHEN THEY DIE, then you should ALWAYS have the option to PICK IT UP

The germans also dumped the MP-40 for the Russian's PPSh when they could, I believe.mudshovel said:I am pretty sure in some wars the soldiers ditched their own weapons in favour of the enemies for reliability reasons. If I recall in Vietnam, American soldiers threw away their M-16 rifles and used AK-47s from dead Vietnamese soldiers.
And according to Mikhail Kalashnikov in 2006, soldiers in Iraq were using using AK-47s in preference to the standard-issue M-16...

So I guess it happens in real life, so why not in a game?
I await that frabjous day as well, but I don't expect to see it come any time soon as long as developers will still try to hide behind the 'GAME BALLANCE!' excuse.SantoUno said:This is true, that is why it annoyed me in KOTOR when you killed certain enemies with lightsabers and such and you couldn't pick them up.DoctorNick said:While I have not played the game in question, I have always and shall continue to be of the opinion that if it is an ITEM YOU CAN USE and your virtual foe HAS ONE WHEN THEY DIE, then you should ALWAYS have the option to PICK IT UP
Of course you have the right to pick up any weapon or item from your vanquished enemy's corpse. I still wait for the day when this will FINALLY get inside the game developer's minds and make this mandatory in all games.
