Poll: Screwing with telemarketers

My new cell phone's number belonged to a guy owing money to creditors, they still call me even though I tell them the number has changed owners.
So Screwing with them is a must "remember, Zip-tie your face to a watermelon, santa's coming to town" That gets a few seconds of silence.

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread title, and I'm sad it took someone until page 4 to post this.

But it's perfect really. You aren't being rude, you aren't messing with their heads like some of these stories, you're just making it clear you don't want to be called in a very funny way. Plus, if I'm on the no call list, you shouldn't be calling anyway, so I think I should be allowed some quick, non-harmful fun like that before I hang up.

I USED TO DO TELEMARKETING TO FEED MY FAMILY OR THEY WOULD STARVE IN THE PAST. I HATED EVERY MINUTE OF THAT JOB AS MANY OTHER PEOPLE DO WHO DO WORKED THERE. I QUIT AS SOON AS I COULD AND WHILE YOU PUT UP WITH A PHONE CALL TO MESS WITH THEM, YOU AT MOST WASTED FIVE MINUTES. TRY BEING THEM FOR EIGHT HOURS DEALING WITH SHITHEADS WHO DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO BUT MAKE YOUR JOB HARDER.

I'm not saying hear them out, I hardly ever do but please understand that they are doing something that most of you probably aren't doing (I am not saying ALL, just those assholes who think this crap is funny.) and that is working instead of leeching money from their parents. Way to make them proud, now grow the hell up.

This is the one reason why we should mess with telemarketers... not only are they annoying they are flaming retards.

Spoken like a true selfish person. On the way home from leeching off of others tonight, hit an old woman with your car as we clearly don't have a use for them either...right?

OK so id like to note this one thing... i posted this to prove a point, i dont actually scew with all telemarketers only the idiots that try to push their said product onto me with clear disregard of anybodys time... kind of like the fellow who posted this original comment.
Also you have no idea who I or what kind of person i am do not think you have the forsight to question my moral views on two scentences of post, so why dont you go back to 4chan where you think people care about what you have to say

i hate how the Indian ones keep pressuring you into buying whatever there selling so i tell them "id prefer to buy (insert product) from a trusted local store instead of some stranger that came to my country on a floating door". but one telemarketer called me 4 time in 10 minutes so the 4th time i kept screaming "daddy dont hit me!" in the phone until he hung up.

im not racist i just hate there accent mixed with an emotionless person trying to sell you plane tickets on the phone.

I can't be bothered messing with them, any conversation with them goes like this:

'Hello, is this Mrs Harrison?' (Harrison is the name our line is registered under, it's not actually us. It's always been like that, I have no idea why. It's a good way of sniffing out marketers.)
'Uh, no, sorry. Wrong number.'

And if they press the issue, I just hang up. We get at least three calls every night, and when they're that frequent you get pretty tired of them. What the hell happened to the 'Do Not Call' register?
