This topic will end badly. You're never going to get an honest answer because of all the fanboys.

What system you should get depends on what types of games you like. If it's FPSs I would actually suggest a computer... or an XBox.

Keep your Wii. Never ever sell your consoles.

And then buy MadWorld and wait for The Conduit.
I agree, I myself never trade in anything... unless there's a good reason.

Such as trading in my PS2 because my PS3 does everything it could and more.

I never trade in any games or consoles because there are so many classics out there that you sometimes want to go back to.

I'd put it first actually, by virtue of having analogue movement to accompany the precision aiming.

But good controls don't make a good game on their own.
The upcoming Conduit, for example, looks to have an amazing variety of control customisations available but it doesn't take away from the fact the game looks like generic shooter number 867,475,38.
I find analog movement to be rather pointless in an FPS. Walk and run is enough

As for The Conduit, I don't believe I've played the generic shooters 1 through 86,747,357, so I feel that it doesn't much matter if it's like them. They were probably console games with bad controls anyway.

Regardless of that, though, I like the enemy designs, the weapons seem neat enough, and the glowy ball that reveals the alternate dimension you're dealing with is a nice concept too.

Wii Processer = Gamecube processer, ditch the gamecube dressing up as a white PS2 and get a PS3 because of the free online and lack of red rings.
you are the dumbest gamer I know. The PS2 had a slower possessor than the GC. The Ps2 had a worse graphic card than the ps2. the ps2 had a slower possessor than the SEGA DREAMCAST!!!!

yes the wii is not as powerful as a 360, but that is no point to push it off as a ps2.

to tell you the truth if you are going to sell you wii I would wait, cause if you are going to buy a ps3 the longer you wait the better the price, sony has said the ps3 still has a good 5 years left before they are going to cut funding. So you can get cheep games and not spend alot of money for a ps3 now.

I would surgest that you wait for the conduit, and pick up mad world right now.

hmm
im gonna represent the wii logical fanbase here, not the wii fanboys (there's a difference)

wii is a good console - fact
nintendo are crap publishers and marketers - fact

two facts to quickly think about
but 3rd party developers are starting to support wii and should start churning out good games

you shouldnt buy a wii for fps', but if you like them and have a wii, im surprised you didnt like cod5 wii cause the only missing features are nazi zombie mode and capture the flag
but in my opinion, the wiimote aiming makes up for that

there's also the conduit coming out soon which looks surprisingly good aside from near 360 graphics
http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/963/963610p1.html
check that out

also games like no more heroes (and its sequel which will come out in a while) stop me from ever giving my wii up
ill admit, being a wii fan is hard - especially after 2008, but 2009 looks good

also, get a 360 over a ps3

I had fun with it but if you like FPSs and are not a PC gamer than 360 I guess.

1) The PS2 had a faster main CPU than the Dreamcast. However, it was seriously under-equipped in the graphics memory department, sporting only a quarter of the amount that the Dreamcast had.

2) He was only comparing the Wii to the PS2 in the appearance department... which is really silly too, since the PS2 was an ugly fucker and the Wii is quite stylish. I'd also point out that he's incorrect about the Wii CPU being the same as the Gamecube CPU, since that's like saying that a Pentium II 233 is the same as a Pentium 133.

Damn straight. Mods are the main reason I will always love PC games more than console games. If you have a decent PC, then the PS3 has the other games that don't make it to PC.

DLC is why the Playstation Store is there, 1.50$ for a DLC isn't much and in the long run saves money cause you wont spend 50$ on DLC in a year and most DLC packs are released for free on the PS3.
For one example, Titan upgrade for UT3 came out for free yesterday for PS3. 360 owners will not see this update. So whats this I hear about 360 getting more DLC? Then there's the many 360 exclusives that went to PS3 with more content, such as Ninja Gaiden Sigma II, Lost Planet: EC, Eternal Sonata and Bioshock.

Buy a PS3 if you want free online, and a dependable console. Though, it's exclusive titles and exclusive DLC's will always differ to the 360's, it's just much more reliable.
I'm sorry, I don't see many 360 DLCs nor exclusives beyond Halo, Gears and Fable II.

Don't even bother selling your Wii. They are readily available and you're not going to get anything remotely close to what you paid for it. Who knows? It may be worth having around some day.

As far as new consoles go, work some over-time or something and get both. It's really the best way to go.

We have 2 exclusive GTA 4 DLCs, one of which is already out. :D

Wow, two. Thats something. I think the Xbox 360 gets some Fallout 3 DLC. Then there's the Portal map packs.

So like I said, I don't see many 360 DLCs when compared to what I'm getting with the PS3.

Well there are 7 games which have exlcusive xbox 360 game content which I can think of (Gears 2, Fable 2, Fallout 3, GTA 4, Viva Pinata, Portal?,Mass effect etc)

Thats a pretty large amount

Admittedly, The PS3 is a better system. However, with Microsoft's XBox only games and Sony's lack of them, AND thefact our PS2 still had new games to play, there was no reason to have a PS3 yet. Wii is unique. IT's become like Pictonary for the family. Which is fine. It is fun to play agame on a console with your mom who thinks games are stupid. Mircosoft rushed 360 out before PS3 dispite having hardware issues. BUt in the end, that was a smart marketing choice.

I played a few games from the Wii library. This Wii Play game featured tanks shooting pebbles. That was fun for only about 30 minutes. The most fun I made out of any game on the Wii.

Anyways, I think you should sell the Wii. But I'm not very sure if you should trade it in for the other consoles. Seriously if you're an RPG guy just go for the PS3, although 360's been catching up on it. If you're a shooter kind of guy get the 360. I just prefer the PS2 since it has the most games on any console in existence.

I managed trade my Wii for a 360.
But I do miss my little white box though, maybe later I'll be able to afford a new one.

I have been having this same internal argument since I bought my Wii and every time it is about to be sold they throw me a little bone and I decide to keep the thing. it is the whole hardcore versus casual gamer argument. Nintendo has this fantastic way of pissing you off then at the eleventh hour giving you a decent experience only to stay your rage until the next quality release.

Of course the fact that my woman plays Wii fit while I eat whoppers and sit on my fat American ass is good. At times the Wii is a good substitution for foreplay.

So I guess the thing stays, at least it doesn't take up much space.

I love seeing Viva Pinata brought up in PS3 vs 360 arguments, what a pathetic game.

Anyway, op, I have a 360 that I'd be willing to trade for your Wii (gf wants a Wii). If you live in anywhere in Wisconsin (I got lots of connections) or parts of Chicago contact me. Aim = tomgameb
I am completely serious on this.

My advice however is there is 0 reason to get a 360 if you have a good PC.

And I'm tired of these comments about PS3 not having games. Stop and think about it. PS3 has the exclusives, especially this year: infamous heavy rain killzone 2 god of war 3 gran turismo 5 and I believe every game coming out on 360 this year except halo wars and mass effect 2. Yes Bioshock 2 is on PS3.
