I like Assassin's creed: Brotherhood's multiplayer. I guess I usually say I don't like multiplayer because it is most often done in a genre I don't like (FPS).

I hate the competitiveness of multiplayer games(mainly FPS) but co-op is great. Singleplayer will always be closest to my heart though.

CoD 3 had the sickest multiplayer ever, it was amazing. Got hooked on that, and the first and fourth games.

So yeah, I can really get into multiplayer.

Co-op always rules supreme though.

Most hate it with a fiery passion, others like it. So who are those who do like it?
Poll says you're wrong though :p
I prefer a good singleplayer campaign every now and then, but in between those rare gems I might as well enjoy some rounds online with/against other people.

On the whole I like multiplayer. Some of my best gaming experiences were on battlefield 2142 and BC 2 multiplayer. My main gripe with multiplayer is when developers put more effort into the MP aspect than the SP aspect. I wish more developers would make purely MP games and purely SP games, even of the same type. Like what Shadow Run and TF2 did, games focused all their resources on multiplayer and look how good they turned out!

Nope, once upon a time I did but games are a very different place nowadays. I still enjoy co-op though, however while that is multiplayer I don't consider it so, if you get me.
I enjoy co-op as well. I do see the distinction between the two (coop and multiplayer) as coop being the playing of the story line through to completion. In fact about 60% of my games (for the 360) were bought due to the coop function and I have yet to play them one player. This kinda started for me back in the original halo as it had a solid coop that could be used to face the daunting legendary setting. By the end of the game both you and your friend feel like you have accomplished something and it is something to do.
Also, best mulitplayer is goldeneye for the n64. I will pwn probably 90% of the escapist community in that game. Something happens that makes you great when you play 4 players on a 13 inch TV screen. (favorite setting is facilities, pistols, license to kill)
I guess the conclusion that I've come to is that I like playing in the same room as someone else. Its just better that way IMHO.

I like multiplayer. I was a bloody pro at the ol' Halo:CE. I played TF2 for a fair while. I enjoy the odd game of BFBC2. Also, L4D when I can.

I generally like single player better though. No amount of headshots or teabagging can give me that special kind of awesome provided by the likes of Valve, Bioware or Bioshock.

Multiplayer that enhances a game is OK. Multiplayer that just seems tacked on or covers up a weak single player is where the problems start. The exception is where it's the whole point (L4D and most fighters).

The people on multiplayer on the other hand...

Kind of like multiplayer. I guess it depends on the game. I'm more of a co-op person if it comes down to it.

For me, no bot or AI will ever come close to offering the same challenge as another human player. I also find that mercilessly killing human players is vastly more rewarding than just trucking bots, but maybe that's just my troll side coming out. ;)

Yes, adds value to a package. However I would almost not get a multiplayer only game, and I would get a single player only game.

I really enjoy a good singleplayer experience. But, so long as I have friends to play with, MP is pretty awesome. I don't touch Black Ops unless my XBL buddies are online. Otherwise I'm playing games like ME2 or DA2. Without my XBL friends, though, MP isn't usually touched. I've largely grown past multiplayer with randoms. If I DO play with randoms, though, I always have my mic unplugged.
If I wanted kids screaming at me, I'd have become a school bus driver.

I enjoy the occasionally multiplayer game (TF2 mostly, the UK TF2 Escapist crowd is an awesome bunch), but I'm mostly a single player game kind of person. I appreciate being able to save and quit at a moment's notice, which isn't always possible in multiplayer games.

I like it. I'm more interested in gameplay than the average game storyline, and outplaying another person is more entertaining than figuring out how to trick the AI over and over again.

Depends on the game. If it is full of douchebags (L4D) or camper noobs (Call of Duty), not really. Borderlands was pretty fun on multiplayer after so long. At the beginning everyone just rushed for all the guns... But I'll take single player over multi any day.

Generally prefer SP, though the most fun i've had gaming was playing through Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks with one of my best friends! We did litterally everything!

I like multiplayer, but I don't want the game to sacrifice the single-player experience for it, unless the game basically relies on multiplayer. Even then, I want it to have taken every balance issue and glitch into account. It should also have almost zero lag.
