Hmph! Just because everyone likes you better doesn't mean that they PREFER your company!
*cries*

In bed. Does agreeing on things count? If not, than making you go first on the Escapist compound charge!
More than anything else, you terrify me.

That wasn't an argument, also.
People like you as well, they also anticipate your arrival into threads. That never happens with me. People may like me but you have fame.

They also talk about me constantly, for whatever reason.

I do not have fame, though, I have infamy.

You are loved, I am reviled. :p
You also have an army of loyal followers.

And I am tolerated if nothing else, and that makes me well-liked, doesn't it?

Oh, right.
Them.

I feel like I should quote every abusive husband ever and do the "They mean nothing to me! I can change, baby!" shtick.

I tolerate you to a great degree, though! :D
You know some of those people said they'd die for you right?
They'll be crushed if the hear you talking about them like that.
Heheheh.

Do you know how common that is?

People offer to die for me all the time.
Honestly. I have followers all over the goddamn place.
It's actually a bit ridiculous.

Good to see you have a cruel streak, though (laughing at the crushing of hearts!)

Everyone falls into line behind me.
For the most part.

Most of the time.
Unless they don't. Sometimes they make their own lines to illustrate how confident they are. Most of them come back eventually, though.
I think I made K9 upset in another thread, though :p

Anyway, social skills are mostly overrated. People growing up on video games instead of going to parties will be a little awkward, but once you get to know them, they are mostly okay people.
This is true. It is also true that very, very few people will make the effort to get to know them, and most of them only out of necessity.
Not. There are actually friendly people, who take the time to get to know people, even if they are a little odd, and not just out of necessity. Social awkwardness can mean a lot of things, it doesn't necessarily mean that these people an incapable of communication or any social interaction. Not being a ladies-man can actually be a good thing, because these people are usually not pushy, abrasive or obnoxious when talking to the opposite sex.

Heh, getting attractive women can be easy even if you are not a Don Juan. Nothing pisses off an attractive girl more than being ignored or handled as "just another person" :D

QFT

Personal case: Being shy doesn't help me at all (so far have not been considered atractive). So, like most answers in the universe, it depends.
Have you considered the possibitlity your less attractive, therefore less social?
I know I'm not attractive at all. Also, I'm not less social because of how I look. It's because my social skills can compete to those of a rock. And lose.

Most people have enough social competence that it doesn't impact them. Though the extremes, both positive and negative can impact them in positive and negative ways respectively.

+1CHA bonuses usually do guarantee a higher likelihood of drawing people to you, so I'd be inclined to side with the original premise that social confidence equates to attractiveness.

I don't think lack of social confidence is a huge problem in itself, but it can come across as arrogance to a lot of people (especially those with lack of confidence themselves) which makes them feel less comfortable and confident in turn, so it can spread and make things awkward for a whole group, and make people see the quiet guy as a buzzkiller just for keeping to himself. Of course, some people mask a lack of confidence by babbling on about themselves a mile a minute because they feel they have to keep attention on themselves or people will ignore them, and that's much more annoying.

Me, I'm quite confident, unless the conversation gets mired in small talk which leaves me floundering, nervous and unable to come up with anything. Because of this, I have a bad habit of saying things far too familiar, forward or heavy very soon after meeting people, which puts a lot of people off.

But say for instance you looked like daniel craig (I'm not good with good looking males i don't seem to notice) more people would be interested in you. Therefore you would have more social stimuli (people chatting you up) and ergo be more social.

I think more women are find Daniel Craig attractive because he has money and fame. Especially money increases one's attractiveness. And yes, you are right if you are attractive you get to be more social.

But since most people are too conservative, they wouldn't want to hang out with someone who does things that he enjoys, even in public (acting like a 5 year old for instance).
