I believe an upgrade could be made in 6 months, since the setting, quests and story are ready. It could be made by a secondary team while the core are working on a new game. Also, new TES games have had 5 year development cycles.

The disclaimer was there to ensure they dont worry about me trying to make any claims. Devs are rather wary of using random internet ideas for that reason..

I'm not a big fan of the idea of remakes, but I've tried getting into the original one and just can't do it because I'm so used to how much farther bethesda's come gameplay-wise, so I think I probably would end up buying this one if they did it, and I didn't even buy the God of War remakes :/

Without a single hesitation. Red Mountain, Ascadian Isles, Grasslands, Telvanni Compounds and the Bitter Coast in HD glory...

Skyrim + Creation kit = close enough
All you need is someone to put in the hours.

Would I buy a modernised Morrowind? Yes.

Would I buy a non-modernised Morrowind? Yes.

Morrowind was, is, and always shall be awesome. Just like Skyrim, and to a slightly lesser degree, all of the other TES games (except maybe the mobile phone one).

You know part of what made morrowind good was its combat system. Even though people whine that it was stupid that you didin't always connect with your hits, thats how real rpgs are.
...What? Why?

I said yes to this, but I think it's rather risky. Unless they did a very simple graphic over haul a la halo ce anniversary edition, I think they'd be treading on thin ice, and risking pissing off fans

Probably, I've never played it properly, but if they re-released it with newer graphics and stuff, meh, I'd probably try it out.

HELL YES! I'll reveal my little secret here: Oblivion's my favourite TES game (Probably to soon be replaced by Skyrim, as 20 hours of play doesn't do Skyrim justice), but I consider Morrowind the best TES game, because, by my own main criteria, it's worlds better than Oblivion, or even Skyrim. I just can't get around the stupid, stupid combat (Something usually unimportant for me, but here it's just HORRIBLE). That kind of, as people are saying, "RPG combat" only works in 2D and/or turnbased RPGs. If I'm in a 3D world, seeing a sword going into someones chest from about an arm's distance, my immersion is completely broken if I supposedly "missed". The sword was INSIDE the guy! How did I MISS?! Me playing TES is done for immersion, and if every single time I have to kill something my immersion is shattered, the game doesn't do it for me.

I would totally buy a Morrowind remake even if the ONLY change for it was the combat.
(Maybe you can fix it with a mod? I've never heard of one.) Of course, some HD scenery porn would be welcome too.

No. I like the GOTY version as it is (and which is still selling rather well), and I would rather have a new game like Skyrim. Besides, they have Valenwood and the Summerset Isles for more elf action, and they could always do a second game based in Morrowind.

I would buy it, but that being said, I'd rather they spent their time making an entirely new Elder Scrolls. And besides, some guys are already making Morrowblivion, so that's something.

Yes, but only because I've never played Morrowind.

I would therefore have far more incentive to buy a remake with graphical updates that learns from previous mistakes, than to try the old games (sad, but true)

I think the guys making morroblivion should try porting their mod into Skyrim :p if at all possible.

As long as it had skyrims combat, SHUT UP MORROWIND HAD PANTS COMBAT, I would, although I think one set during skyrim would be cool, like fallout meets tes, what with the whole red mountain explodes and the big magic rock thing crashing.

YES!

But NOT with the Skyrim system. That would be stupid. Skyrim doesn't have: spears, throwing weapons, crossbows, staves, etc. AND THOSE WERE ALL AWESOME!

What would be the point of playing Morrowind if I can't get the Spear of Bitter Mercy?

Edit:

Morrowind without voiceless npc that only show text?
Yes.
You leave my text alone! It beats the crap out of voice over in my opinion. I LIKE to read several paragraphs every time I talk to an npc. How am I supposed to know I am playing an rpg otherwise?
He was talking about a text cassete and voices.
You're still able to read, if you want to.

No, I wouldn't. What's the point? I'd rather that BethSoft added the rest of the world to Skyrim as it is.

They could have expansion packs...Cyrodil, Hammerfall, Morrowind, Vvar...var...vah...Whatever that elfy-forest place is...

You know, it'd be so much better. A gigantic, literal world to explore. Why release "The Elder Scrolls 6!!" in half a decade, when they could just release new chunks of Tamriel?

Just...my two cents.

I don't think they should remake morrowind though. Too many rose tinted glasses would be shattered upon release, and/or it "won't be like I remember it" no matter how faithful the adaptation.
