Heh, I remember those. I only got to play the first one though. I think the main reason they're so hard is the lack of a save slot. You have to do it all in one sitting or else start over again. The farthest I've ever made was when you're inside the Death Star (I was playing as Han) and I got stuck at the boss at the end, some giant robot thing. After it killed me I was stuck with the lousy pistol, and after that the fight became basically impossible. Lots of temper tantrums and thrown controllers resulted from that game, but for some reason it never stopped being fun.minoes post=9.71567.730244 said:The "Super Star Wars" series for the snes. If you havent played either game you should get the first one, it's just better.Revelo post=9.71567.729559 said:Has to be between Rogue Squadron and Battlefront. But i keep thinking about buying KOTOR 2 to see what that series is like.
I thought the demo was pretty terrible. Targeting system sucked horribly, DMM isn't used nearly as often as I was led to believe, and while it is only a demo the combat got repetitive very quickly for me.COR 2000 post=9.71567.730901 said:But SW:TFU hasn't even come out yet, so why is everyone pronouncing it "Dead-on-Arrival"?
You kids and your save slots... why, when I played Star Wars on my NES, we died from touching ANY monster and we had exactly three continues! And another thing... *rambles on*Xalmar post=9.71567.730468 said:Heh, I remember those. I only got to play the first one though. I think the main reason they're so hard is the lack of a save slot. Frankly, I had the exact opposite experience with the demo. It just made me want the game more.KSarty post=9.71567.730952 said:I thought the demo was pretty terrible. Oh my how I loved that game, was at Alton towers (theme park in uk) and was too scared to go on a certain roller-coaster so spent hours on that game. Ran out of money as I was flying down the trench on the first death star. 8(dannydamage post=9.71567.729618 said:Fool! You missed out SW: Trilogy Arcade!
The amount of cash I threw into that machine at the arcades, hehe.
I hate to say it but I think you're just uninformed on this point. There have been a huge amount of star wars novels, comic books and grand descriptions of almost every conceivable aspect of the star wars universe. Knights of the Old Republic was extremely cannon based, itself just highlighting a particular part of Star Wars jedi/mandalorian history.fix-the-spade post=9.71567.729562 said:KoToR is an epic, amazing game. The only problem I have with it is that, take the Star wars name off the box and there is very little to associate it with the Star Wars universe, it's not really connected to any canon so I can't have my fanboy nerd moments. I realise the game centres around Jedi/Sith war but really they could be any generic light/dark factions.
