Neat trick, only worked after I relaxed an focused on one spot. Looking for detail didn't allow the effect.

I can never do these 'apparently' 3D images, I stare and nothing ever happens. I'm pretty sure it's a joke the entire world is in on except for me.

Man, I hide these kind of things where I have to focus my eyes on something. I have a problem with my eyes that makes maintaining focus hard. However this was quite mind boggling and cool. Good post OP, that's some freaky stuff.
