I picked up on this series and started watching it, passable at best, it was one of the few Star Wars shows that got me rooting for the villain, I'm always hoping that Grievous or Ventress is going to kill Asoka, of course, given that she's the plucky teenage hero, that is wishful thinking on my part. What do you guys think of the show?

I watch it when nothing else is on. If you don't pay attention to the fact it's animated, it's not that bad. The voice acting for whoever plays Anakin is a little wooden, though.

By Clone Wars, do you mean the cartoon miniseries, the historical era, or the slanderous filth of a move?

There's a new animation miniseries done in the same style of the slanderous filth of a movie.

I don't care for it that much, but it seems far less worse than the movie was.

It's alright. What I want to know is how Asoka is going to get chopped up into itty bitty slices. We all know it will happen sooner or later.

It is ok. But they should have just stayed to the movie. Plus most of the so called plot twist are easy to see coming.

IT SUCKS!

It is a horrible piece of garbage, that has no right to bear the same name as the epic mini-series, made by Genndy Tartakovsky.

It wasn't enough Lucas had to ruin Star Wars by making the prequels, but he had to fuck up Clone Wars too, with this piece of shit.

No. Absolutely not. Went to see the movie because I'm about as big a Star Wars fanboy as you can find, and I walked out with my friend (also a massive fanboy). They fucked the whole story and background beyond belief, going against everything established in the Star Wars universe already (Padawans can have Padawans of their own now, eh? Wait, no, that's fucking retarded). Poorly written, acted even worse, story was awful, and it sealed my hatred of George Lucas (though I'm still a fanboy of real Star Wars movies/books/games).

The non-CGI series was a lot better. They should have stuck with that, or, not make it at all.

I shall present my opinion as a timeline:

Someone with some actual competence and style directs a Star Wars cartoon. This leads to a decent-but-in-my-opinion-nothing-to-write-home-about cartoon -- probably on par with Samurai Jack, but not up to the level of Diniverse Batman.

Lucas notices this and taps some other person, completely lacking the qualifications of the first one, to direct a CG movie based on that Star Wars cartoon. It reeks.

That guy then gets tapped to remake the old cartoon with fancy CG everything and no style or vision, just like the movie. Because one giant turd of a movie just isn't enough to ruin the decent mediocrity of the original.

(Sometime after that second event, Wookiepedia updates its R2-D2 article to include "Artooie" as a canonical nickname.)

Tbh, I'm not too interested, there is a great legacy behind it and I think it needs to be laid to rest... kinda like Sonic.

When will people learn that adding a sassy young sidekick never, EVER WORKS!?

Has Scrappy Doo taught you NOTHING?!

The only consolation is that some time in the near future Asoka (did they HAVE to use the name of one of my favorite ancient Indian kings?) will be murdered (viciously) by Darth Vader.

Star Wars exists to me, now, in the realms of some of the books, my imagination, my Action figures and my minatures, and my D20 rulebook (which, incidently, I am thinking of ways to modify for 4 edition D&D. It would work soooo much better). And, of course, my DVD box set. I want them to make a serious film and/or series again, one not aimed at my little brother and below.

As of the Clone wars, pretty good, though my main gripe is that the droids have full personalities, sentience, and act like saturday morning cartoon henchmen. which is what I guess they are, but they are supposed to be mindless drones who kill people. they made this mistake way back in episode 1, trying to make it amusing for children. And it is funny, when you are like, 8, but it takes away any real sense of threat. Instead of faceless death machines, inspiring terror into those that face them (witch is why they look like a Nemodians skeleton) they are fools to be outwitted and outmanoeuvered, annoying in there stupidity. Even that last thread of respect we had for supers died in Episode 3, when artoo sets them alight, and they slip in a comical fashion. Gorram, that annoys me so much. How can we take it seriously that these things are a threat to galactic peace. I mean c'mon. Also, how does Anakin get a padawan, when he is one. Namely one that is barely over the age requirements, to take with him on missions key to the war effort, where she will see men die in horrible, varied ways. Beacuse that won't be damaging. And some things made me run for the nearest toilet, so i could throw up into them, like JarJar becoming a Jedi. Nonononononnononnonono, please no! Arrrrghhh!

Other than that, a harmless cartoony romp. And the animation does work, in Starwars' slightly exagerrated style. Yet I think i shall return to the Yuuzahn Vong. Ahh, no there's a sense of threat I can believe...

It's just another marketing scheme to drain the last of the sour milk out of the starved Star Wars cash cow.

I wish that I could share your optimism, she's got the whole "child hero exemption" meaning that even if she gets roughed up by the bad guys, or poisoned by the animal whose venom can only be cured by a flower that blooms on a certain day at a certain time at a certain place that happens to be the nesting ground of a rancor family on a certain planet, they'll always fix her up, I just want to see Grievous slice her little head off, then I'm off the show for good, I think I might go and write some fanfiction about her getting tortured now.

We'd better be talking about the series or I want my poll answer back. The CGI movie looked awful.

Honestly, I hate the CGI look to it, makes hair look like it's carved from stone as to real flipping hair! Pretty much my other complaints have been already posted here but dear god they've made the war droids so damn stupid I'm starting to why Grievous is so pissed off in that show all the time. I mean they even had his personal aid droid mouthed off to him in one episode till the thing was cut in half, in the cartoon version of the clone wars I got the impression if you did that to him he'd cut you in two as a warning to everyone else. And of course that Asoka twat needs to suffer a very painful death.
