Nudity doesn't make movies *or* games better by virtue of being there. People need to realize that. The more we add it through the ol' "because we can" reasoning, the worse the result. No wonder the "gamer" demographic is viewed as a bunch of tasteless dirtbags.

Sometimes it does. Explain why people cast Angelina Jolie in movies if it doesn't make the movie sellable.

Nudity adds a sort of charm to games and movies. Sadly alot of developers neglect that fact.

If there happens to be some zombie fight where a persons clothes get torn off as they are eaten alive then it would make sense. Putting nudity in just for the purpose of making more people want to play the game really takes away from the game. I personally don't play games for boobs, I play the game for the game. If developers want to attract more attention to their game then actually make a good game rather than try to draw us closer with nudity

I keep hearing that, but porn has a myriad of media attachments. Porn records, porn mags, porn movies, and even porn food. Why not more mainstream porn games?

Also, those of you saying only female nudity, quit being homophobes. Think of the women gamers out there who aren't getting to see any CG penises flopping around.

I won't be rallying for male nudity anytime soon, thank you very much. I played Lost and Damned, now I don't need to see another digital penis for a while. Not to sound too harsh, but female nudity in games is straightforward, guys like breasts. They come in different sizes, but are basically the same thing with varying degrees of nipple size. Male anatomy is slightly more complicated due to religious rites, and the first game to have an uncircumsized man waving it about will frighten me.

Some women like the elephant snout, I for one totally do not.

No more nudity than what you would find in an R Rated movie for M rated games sound about right to me. Off course that will likely not happen till some one off Shigero Miyamoto's caliber does that. Maybe a love scene in the next Shenmue to get people to actually buy it.

There should be a lot more of it because right now you show half a boob and because if it game critics call the game original. I know a lot of prepubescent young men are going to droll all over those M rated games but they're already fapping to most of the video games released recently along with all they can find on the web... so I dont see the point of holding nudity in gaming anymore.

It depends... If it serves a purpose within the story, yes, but if it's being done just to get more sales, or some strange fan-service thing, no.

I agree and make the point if there is equality between the sexes and not just one side

I fail to see what nudity adds to a gaming experience. Let deviant art handle bringing our favorite characters to the flesh.

And there should only be nudity if it can be introduced without making it the center-point for the cutscene or whatnot, and if it can flow with the game and make sense in it.

Then of course there are all the prudes/immatures who have a hard time looking at the human body, and think it's something disgusting if it's not theirs or their spouses.

amazing avatar (Lukirre ) and i agree. sometimes it better explains a point or situation.

although look at james bond (i say this generally, not at Lukirre), all of those movies have sex, and none have nudity, its not really necessary.
