Okay before i begin id like to say the FF VII is my second fave.
Does any one else out there think square are wringing too much drops out of an already dry sponge
I mean there's ff7, advent children, dirge of cerburus , before crisis, crisis core and not to mention a whole list of games where they pop VII's characters into for novelty. am i the only ff vii fan that's annoyed at this?

I'm not too annoyed, seeing as I played none of the games based off of it.
I'd like to try playing a remake to see if they could make it as good though.
Too bad it would probably be only for PS3...

Yes I agree they've done enough to tie up all back sotry and etc. There is only one for FFVII game that needs to made and that is FF7 remake for ps3.

YES! I've been saying this for YEARS! Ever since Advent Children came out and was such a huge disappointment, I have been ranting about it and have even sent a letter to Square-Enix (which, of course, was ignored, but it made me feel better to write it). AC was well-built crap. DoC was a mostly functional game ruined by its FFVII tie-in. If it had been made about some random dude in some random place, would have just been forgettable. As it stands, its unforgettably bad. And then Crisis Core happened. That's right. Not "was released" or "was developed" but HAPPENED. One cannot refer to anything that terrible a anything but a natural disaster. And I almost forgot Last Order, which, like AC, was well animated but was wholly awful because of what it did to some of the most important scenes of FFVII

You are wrong. VII gave all the backstory needed. The only use for more backstory is to explain all the bullshit that they've injected into the series since. And it has all gotten progressively worse. A remake would try and incorporate all of this crap AND lose the original feel of the game.

What annoys me is that VII wasn't even the best one. VIII had a better story and IX better characters IMO.

So, yes, they should quit it with the add ons and spend more time on translating XIII into English so that they can release it sooner.

Sony hasn't had an exclusivity deal with Squenix in a long time now.

Grrr. Goddamn trolls, if you haven't played the game, then fuck off.

I for one loved FFVII. I wouldn't call it my favorite, but the story was varied, kept my attention, and the final battles were hectic and satisfying. But I still rate FFX as my favorite mainly because it was the first I played and I guess I'm just spoiled on voice acting.

Now Dirge I couldn't get past the first battle because I'm a ten-thumbed cripple who can't shoot a virtual bullet to save his life. Crisis Core was pretty awesome because they chucked the entire TBC out the window in favor of an innovative JRPG hack-n-slash form of combat, and part of the games overall awesomeness was the fact that you weren't playing as that weepy ***** Cloud. Before Crisis I haven't found yet, and Advent Children was world-altering, but not mind-blowing.

What I want is a prequel to FFX. Square really needs to contact me in regard to that for I have loads of ideas.

Oh I'm sorry I thought my OPINION was valid on a FORUM. They did leave plot holes in FFVII which have been filled and then some even though it was not really necessary. A remake would just put everything to rest and then we can finally move on as that is what they are obviously building up to. The sooner it is done the sooner we can move on.

Yeah I'm pretty annoyed that Square Enix has decided to make FFVII a money making machine, or tried to anyway. The original FFVII was great, probably my favourite in the series. The spin-offs however were all mediocre trash and need to be banished to the void of video game don'ts for all eternity.

While we're here, does anyone actually still give a shit about XIII anymore? I know it's out in March but it's been put back so many times and when I found out that a XIV was in the works last year I was pretty fucking angry. Why? You heard that phrase "Finish one project before you start another"? Ever since Square became Square Enix their games, release dates, everything has become either boring or frustrating.

Crisis Core was pretty good. Should have been on a home console rather than a PSP to get the most out of it, then again I could say that about Peace Walker too.

FF7 was good, but its still overrated, I think a remake of the older ones or better yet, a completely new title would be far better than milking the Sephiroth goat.
