Find a good community or server to play with. That coupled with a few weeks to sort out those who get bored will solve many of your problems.
Closing statements :La Barata said:Hey, just starting this with a bit of a rant. I
First, it started with the items. god not free stuff
Being able to buy them. A company making money ??? How dare they !!! (you can get every item that can be bought free through crafting/trading/drops)
The constant, neverending stream of crappy, pointless community items with only miniscule, barely noticeable stat changes. Free stuff????? Not in my TF2 (Also screw all the game modes and maps that came out with these updates)
More and more and more items, completely burying us under pointless community content. Ok they did go over board with the items but you can easily play the game without ever opening your backpack to change items or buying anything also there are tonnes of servers that run vanilla no items tf2
The final straw came today. oh jesus what did they do? I hope they didnt give us more free content those mother fuckers
The Uber update introduced free to play forever. Team Fortress 2 is now open to the public to play forever for free. valve you son of a *****
Now, every server is crammed with hundreds of people who, in all likelihood, have no interest whatsoever in the game. this is false i have seen higher traffic but not "Crammed" Most times, when you get a new player, they want to get better, want to get good at the game, want to actually do something with themselves. So tf2 never had griefs before? When a game is free to play, however, a time dreaded by most who already own it, this is when the absolute assclowns and griefers come out to play. They don't care about doing well or getting better, they didn't pay a cent, they just want to ruin it for everyone else. What do they care? They didn't pay for it. They still have to download the game and put effort in, there are tonnes of f2p games which arnt full of griefs name one which is ? Also its tied to their valve account so they can get a VAC ban for griefing which affects more than just TF2 so registering a new steam account is needed to grief= more effort for little griefing reward
Played it for 2 hours this morning. Good game still. Few more RQ's than normal but no difference.Trololo Punk said:As others have said, a wait a week or two, by then, if the game is still flushed with grievers and trolls, or whatever else, than I guess it really is dead.
How exactly were you buried? Are you forced to wear a hat? If the stat changes are really so miniscule, doesn't that ensure you don't need a hat to compete?La Barata said:First, it started with the items.

Really now? How many free games are there out there in the world? Champions Online is free. Do you know why I'm not playing it right now? Because I have no interest in it. People don't just run around playing games they don't like just to bother you. When a game is free to play, however, a time dreaded by most who already own it, this is when the absolute assclowns and griefers come out to play. That's not what you paid for. You know what you paid for? Playing the game all this time. That's what your money bought you. It didn't buy you stock in the game's future, or any sort of right or entitlement. You paid to get the game earlier than the people just starting now, and that's exactly what you got.The thing that I take offense to the most, though, is what they decided to offer those who already paid for the game.
We get a hat.
We ALL get a hat. The same hat.
Free hat and continued game support perhaps?syrus27 said:It's fucking annoying that I paid good money for it and I'm not getting any form of compensation...
