Naughty Dog and Insomniac. They have yet to make a game that I would consider anything less than superb.

I trust Stardock, Bohemia Interactive, Gas Powered Games, and GSC Game World along with Valve and a couple of different studios out there.

However, I would like to make it perfectly clear that:

EA SHOULD BURN IN HELL FOR WHAT THEY DID WITH C&C4!!!

Nintendo has some great products too. None of their games are cutting edge
This is probably just the fanboy in me, but WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Nintendo redefined what video games are in the mid eighties and defined what they are in 3D in the mid nineties. I mean, maybe you could say that if you were to only look at the games they've released in the past five years, but looking at their entire history, it's quite clear that Nintendo was the driving force behind the games industry from Super Mario Bros. on, and in many ways they still are today. They have countless cutting edge products.

OT: Nintendo (obviously, after the above fanboy rant). I used to be able to say this about Valve until they decided to make shitty "episodes" instead of making Half-Life 3 and blatantly lied to us about the future of L4D. What they did with L4D2 is not at all okay in my book.

Bioware could tell me to drink their piss and I would have to insist that I pay them for it.

Nintendo, Capcom, square, naughty dog, insomniac they all deliver top notch games and I trust them all to continue to deliver great games.

I used to like rare (DKC and the old banjo games were awesome but they suck now)

Nintendo, Atlus ( SMT Series only!), Grasshoper Studios, Valve, Bioware, Square Enix ( After FF13, it has regained my trust)

BioWare. The only thing I knew about Dragon Age before I pre-ordered it was that it was made by BioWare and it had dragons in it.

This. Minus Blizzard since the merger they've done nothing but piss me off with making WoW crappier and the bullshit with breaking Starcraft 2 up into 3 games. Bioware and Valve have never done me wrong; and Bethesda, while not perfect, knows exactly what I seek in open world games, truely interesting environments.

Bioware (Neverwinter Nights, Jade Empire, KOTOR, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Icewind Dale)
Ubisoft (Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Far Cry)
Eidos* (Tomb Raider, Hitman, Legacy of Kain, Thief, Deus Ex)
Square-Enix (Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, Dragon Warrior)
Konami (Metal Gear/Solid, Silent Hill, Dance Dance Revolution)
EA** (Madden, Command and Conquer)
Monolith (F.E.A.R.)
GSC Gameworld (S.T.A.L.K.E.R., afaik this is all they've made+sequels/prequels)

*Separated Eidos from Square-Enix because it wasn't a merger, Eidos is still a subsidiary just rotting under Square-Enix's name)
**EA gets mention because its bought everything under the sun anymore... EA has its mits in Bioware now since 2K sold em off)

Besides the obvious ones everyone's mentioned already (Bioware, Bethesda, Valve) I would add Harmonix to the list. Unlike their competetors, every game they've done has been excellent.

I wish I could say I still trust Nintendo, but I really haven't been a fan of their whole process of releasing older games with waggle controls and calling them "new" (Mario Kart, Smash Bros. etc.).

Yes. This works both ways too, as long ago I learned never to buy anything by Konami as I've disliked every single Konami game I'd ever bought.

There are certain devs who I expect to make good games all the time, so in that sense I trust them. Bioware would be an example of this.
