I gotta say, IF they choose to unmask Tali, and I'm not sure they should, this is spot on what I'd hope she'd look like.MiracleOfSound said:

I'm not saying she's racist at all. I'm saying she's distrusting.P.Tsunami said:You would be wrong. Internet Kraken was clearly talking about Tali.bl4ckh4wk64 said:I assume you're talking about Ashley.
So... she has legitimate reasons for being racist. Racism isn't defined by legitimacy, you know.bl4ckh4wk64 said:If you took the time to talk to her, you would realize that she wasn't in fact racist. She has completely legitimate reasons for being distrusting of other alien races, I mean, the first time we ever have contact with the Turians, they almost wipe out a whole planet, completely destroying the Williams family reputation and getting Ashley shit postings like the one on Eden Prime. Before she met Shepherd she would probably never have been able to get higher than gunnery chief and she would probably have never had a shipboard posting.
...What?Internet Kraken said:Going strictly by the definitions we have for these words now doesn't make much sense, since the meanings of these words have expanded in Mass Effect. The Mass Effect games consider the Geth to be a species, so I don't see what your point is.
When what you are discussing is the video game, then I can totally see how he goes on what the video game says. The video game (as any work of fiction) determines what any specific word means within its' own narrative. Obviously, in the Mass Effect-universe the word species has changed in meaning to mean any sentient being whatever or not it is organic.KarumaK said:...What?Internet Kraken said:Going strictly by the definitions we have for these words now doesn't make much sense, since the meanings of these words have expanded in Mass Effect. Are you seriously defining words based on a video game instead of oh say; a dictionary? No, nope, I'm done here.
I'm defining words based on the video game we are currently discussing. I fail to see where the problem is. Technically using the term racist to describe hatred to other species isn't accurate by out current definition of racist, but we're all still using it for that purpose. Why? Because that's how they use it in Mass Effect, and we're discussing Mass Effect.KarumaK said:...What?Internet Kraken said:Going strictly by the definitions we have for these words now doesn't make much sense, since the meanings of these words have expanded in Mass Effect. I agree. It's less sexy/cute/cool, and more creepy.RatRace123 said:That picture... is deeply rooted in the uncanny valley... can't unsee.MiracleOfSound said:They'll show us a Quarian in ME3 I think. There'll be too much nerd-rage if they don't.
