Well don't quote me on this but I believe Germany has this thing where you get a tax break if you fund movies, if you change that, Uwe Boll get's no more money.Pandalisk said:The gaming one in germany worked, persay.flip7406 said:Anyone remember that web petition that worked?
To be fair petitions only work with extremist
its Uwe Bowl, his impact on humanity is nill, yes he makes some bad movies apparently, personaly i think they were entertaining enough, not great, but at least my gaze was interested in it, besides this will do fuck all to stop him, all he'll think is theirs a campaign by all his haters and his loyal fans have been silenced by these internet hounds!, or other such nonsense
You clearly haven't seen any of his movies. They are horrible. The man has to be stopped. And if you think people are being mean telling him to stop, you need only watch the DVD commentaries of his movies. He is insane. He honestly believes that his movies are the greatest ever made, and the reason they've done so badly is because of an international conspiracy against him. Seriously. I realise this petition has very little chance of succeeding, but any chance is worth taking to get rid of Toilet Boll.stinkychops said:This is mean, just horribly mean. If he turns a profit leave him be.
I don't think he gets his money from Germany any more, unfortunately. I'm not sure about this, but I think they just refused to give him any more. I'm told he now gets his money through some sort of tax-evasion scheme in Canada.flip7406 said:Well don't quote me on this but I believe Germany has this thing where you get a tax break if you fund movies, if you change that, Uwe Boll get's no more money.
Now who wants to run for office in Germany?
Sounds about right. If he started making better movies, would people forgive him for what he's done? Probably. I say give him another movie contract. If it's good, then I will have more faith for him. If not, I enjoy a good laugh.Kiutu said:Uwe Boll is one of those few people who I admire their enthusiasm, but wish they had a better head on their shoulders. Sarah Pallin and Peter Molyneux are two others. Its like watching a mouse really try to get through a maze, but always just missing the turn to the cheese.
Didn't he start his own company so he could fund himself or something?Anachronism said:I don't think he gets his money from Germany any more, unfortunately. You must not have heard, but he rescinded his offer to quit making movies by order of this petition. He claimed that Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg were signing under different alias in order to pad the signature count (and I'm absolutely not kidding [http://www.gamegrep.com/news/8718-uwe_boll_claims_micheal_bay_and_steven_spielberg_are_plotting_against_him/]), thus it was invalidated. It's kind of a lost cause.Debatra said:Normally, I'd leave it alone, but Uwe Boll has promised to retire if this petition hits 1,000,000.
