Ok, not really but an overwhelming title is always awsome, right?

Anyway, I can only blame my self for being overhyped over a game that had no signs of being showed, but Valve-fanboys like myself has tendency of starting giggling with glee when it seems to be the time for Episode 3. I'd been hoping for a couple of months that Episode 3 would been shown at E3. Because of that I felt rather insulted by Left 4 Dead 2. The original game had only been out for 7 months and they already announce a sequel. Nothing bad about L4D 2, more blood, more weapons and new world is great but all that was a bit overshadowed by the disappointment over no Episode 3.

Now that the first wave of anger is over I'm starting to look forward to L4D 2. Not so much like BioShock 2 or Modern Warfare 2 but it sure looks interesting. Now i ask you, fellow gamers, how do you feel about no Episode 3?

Patience is a virtue. I will have faith in Valve, for they have served me well in the past.

This.

Remember Microsoft announced it, not Valve, They'll finish that in a few years regardless of the release date.

Did Valve also sap your sentry?

Predictable jokes aside... yeah, I'm not too happy with the lack of news/announcements about Episode 3, but aren't people used to Valve doing that by now? I mean, I play TF2 on the 360, for fuck's sake. I've already become accustomed to "Valve time".

L4D2 will not be coming out this year, it's a Valve game, it'll get delayed, so don't worry about it.

But I would much prefer to see Episode 3, I just think they're having trouble getting Portals working in the context of the game (after so blatantly setting us up for it in Portal/Episode 2).

I'll never understand why people are upset at Valve for this for seemingly no logical reason except for "It's not like Valve to release games this quickly."

I'll admit I did want to see some news on Episode 3 but tell me this, do you want Valve to rush this game or do you want them to take as much time as they need to make it as awesome as possible?

So they relased this sequel fairly early, so? I'm assuming a Left 4 dead game is easier to make than Half-Life 2 because it has no story so to speak. Besides, Left 4 Dead is a great game, and Valve is a great developer, why not wait to see what this game is like before declaring that Valve has betrayed it's fan base.

And change your title before I give in to my urge to cuss you out for being so petty as to be mad when Valve is giving us more games to play.

Im sure that there are departments working on their respective games. If the left 4 dead department make l4d2, the half life department wont be hugely affected.

The game will be released when its released, regardless if l4d2 is in production or not.

I'd rather they made half life 3 and scrapped ep3. Don't really care about waiting years in between episodes. :p

i agree with the fact L4d2 looks like valve have chosen to write this while thinking Left 4 dead is really a manual of how to survive the zombie apocolypse and shooting everyyone in sight while screaming zombie, but I dont know what this ep 3 is can someone fill me in?

L4D2 doesn't really interest me and I'm not obsessing over getting my hands on Episode 3, so I'm fairly neutral about Valve's behavior.

Who cares?

Honestly it really isn't that big a deal and I wish people would stop pretending that they have the right to tell Valve how to run their companies.

'Valve's dingo ate my baby' would have also been a good title.

But anyway, down to business... I have to say I am a little disappointed there was no mention of HL2 Ep3 at E3 and has been very little on it since ep2. On the other hand though, it'll come when it comes and I'm in no way disappointed or bitter that there's an L4D2.

What I do think this shows though is that Valve fail at episodic gaming cause by now I've pretty much forgotten everything that happened in Ep2.

Give them all the time they need. Chances are it will be worth the wait.

But yes, they should have got started on Episode 3 first and leave Left 4 Dead 2 for a LOT later.

I voted disappointed, before you edited it and gave more options.

I fear that Left 4 Dead 2, takes away even more time for Episode 3.
