Violence is always an answer. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't think violence is a good answer, but it is a valid one i guess.

I stopped believing in "violence never solved anything" around the time I was unconscious and bleeding to death in an alley.

it's not ALWAYS the solution, but it can be used to great effect to resolve certain situations.

I believe there are some instantces where violence is needed but most of the time words work fine. Sometimes words can be more hurtful than a punch to the face.

I'm thinking about developing a self-defense system and the stages would be:

Avoid
Deescalate
Escape
Engage
Post-Incident

Sometimes, despite your efforts violence is thrust in your face. The only way to respond safely is to overwhelm and destroy.
