Going to have to stand with you on this one, nothing says commitment like an eternal quest for redemption.Neosage said:![]()
Nuff Said.
But yeah, the Dark Angels chapter of the space marines take shit from no-one, have a badass first-company and wear friggin' robes.
The problem with the Avatar is the fact that 150Owlslayer said:Also, i love duels against the eldar god-thingy, (avatar or something?) , the finishing moves with both of them are epic.
Didn't know you could take him down so fast...but hey, that's why i chose chaos. The Prince has more hp and more damage too (at least i think he has).blackshark121 said:The problem with the Avatar is the fact that 150Owlslayer said:Also, i love duels against the eldar god-thingy, (avatar or something?) , the finishing moves with both of them are epic.flashlightlasgun shots will likely bring him down. My bro plays the imp guard, and he has learned to keep his squad of 50 conscripts in front of his tank. When the Avatar comes near, he uses a command for an extra shot, and my avatar falls. Drives me insane. Statistically, I should have one wound left after that barrage, but statistics are never precise.
You mean DoW II yeah? The single player campaign mode rocks, but the multiplayer/skirmish mode sucks immensely.Owlslayer said:But I have never played warhammer 2, is it much better , anyone ?
It's hard to compare them. They work very differently. DoW 2 is an awesome game, but it's very far from what the first one was like. You don't really do any base building. It's been a while since I played, but as far as I recall it's like this: In the campaign you choose four squads out of several, to take into the next mission, and those are the ones you have for that mission. However, they earn experience and can be leveled up and equipped with stuff you earn during the missions. Multiplayer is fun too, where you don't have a base as much as just a few buildings that do the researching and training already. Then you use the hero you start out with and the squads you train from your headquarters to kick the other guy(s)' ass(es).Owlslayer said:Also, i when i played the game for the first time, i fell in love with the finishing moves, even casual solders can do them...and bosses against commanders, etc... soooo awesome. Gotta love warhammer 40, 000.

Dawn of War I will always be superior to Dawn of War II for the simple fact that IT DOESN'T FORCE YOU TO INSTALL FRIGGEN STEAM OR GAMES FOR WINDOWS LIVEscumofsociety said:You mean DoW II yeah? I kinda liked the multiplayer mode. It's pretty fun and a different kind of challenge. It gets especially awesome if you've chosen to be space marines and have the Apothecarian, since he becomes a one man army later on. I remember playing 3 vs 3, where I could sometimes hold back the enemies' advance with just him. Fun for me, not so much for the other guys maybescumofsociety said:You mean DoW II yeah? ...For this very reasonEchelon_3 said:Imperial Guard.
Considering every monster / horror / superhero movie shows the military being powerless (usually resulting in a few unlikely heroes saving the day), it's nice to see the horrors of the galaxy crushed under the bootheels of ordinary men and women.
