I have a massive 4.5k-ish army of SPEHSS MAHREENS for the tabletop, and I do absolutely love them to bits for how they stand out as being the heroes only in a setting as thoroughly fucked as Warhammer 40k, and anywhere else they'd be "overzealous, murderous anti-villains" at best.

I voted for the Eldar though, because for all their whining and self-pity, they're really damn interesting as a race. I've started a small army with them at around 1.5k points because playing them is just like trying to understand their lore and racial identity - very challenging, and very rewarding.

It was close between the chaos space marines and the orks but in the end I had to go for the orks just for the fond memory of casually firing their guns at some terminators and the guy at games workshop laughing at me for doing something that silly, he stopped laughing when 3 of them got shot to death...

And why no Space Dwarves, I still have my good ol' space dwarf army.
