I am now the vampire your vampire could look like. all thanks to the power of insanity.

Werewolf, I guess.
The whole immortality-ish thing doesn't appeal to me.
Also, there's the bit that being a vampire implies that if a soul exists you have to surrender it to the devil.
Hell doesn't really sound like an appealing place.

Werewolf, definitely werewolf. You can freely change between human and wolf mode, your bite can kill those damn Twilight vamps, and enhanced strength, speed, senses, and durability. Plus I can walk in the sunlight without biting the dust or sparkling.

Although I can't deal with silver. I love silver.

Damn....

Typically speaking Vampires have way better books, movies, and games.

But I've always had a softspot for the 'uncontrollable beast within' idea. I like them a lot more when it's the type where you can't control it.

Vampires are really really REALLY cool. I love Vampires but...I love Werewolves more.

Vampires are too humanoid for me. Sure they can transform into bats or wolves but whats the fun in being a pale looking human (I myself am already very pale and have sharp canines).

I would rather much be a werewolf sure there are times of the month where I could go possibly bat shit crazy but what evs. I would take on more animal like characteristics in human form. I could go out when ever I want, wolves are just much cooler creatures in general and I if I ever go to London I would laugh like a maniac while blasting "Werewolves of London"

Vampire. Its mostly because I want to live forever, not because I fear death, but because I want to see the end of the world. Also, I think that it should be with the rules established in Fevre Dream by George RR Martin. Basically, the classic vampire mythos, just with the slight tweak of Vampires being able to go out into the sun for very brief periods of time (and even then have to spend time recovering), and they can cross running water.

They're weakness is DIRECT light (artificial is fine)
You mean a vampire could get killed with a flashlight? That's super lame.

Werewolf, because I think Werewolves are much cooler than Vampires.
Plus you get to be a super strong, fast, fangy, clawy killing machine.

I've never liked the vampire mythos. Too many arbitrary rules that make no sense when brought into the real world surrounding it.

Why can't a vampire cross a body of water?
Why can't they enter a house unless invited?
Why is it a cross hurts them when things shaped like an 'x' doesn't?
and so on...when you look at these things I don't see why people are angry when they hear about sparkling in the sunlight.

By default I accept werewolves more...but I've never seen/read an interesting werewolf story. As such victory goes to humanity!

So...Are we talking about Bram Stoker vampires or Hellsing vampires?

If Hellsing, then a Vampire. Being able to raise legions of the living dead (Zombies) who obey my every command would be win. If Stoker vampires...Naw, I'll stay as a human, thanks.

this seems like the underworld monsters. which i'm okay with. and even without the lore of the blood fewd between the lycan's and the vampires, werewolves just seem like i can be more humane. for instance, i don't HAVE to kill if i'm a werewolf. i can if the guy damn well deserves it, and probably will as it won't be traceable to me and suddenly a wolf appears and eats someone's face off. not to mention vampires get harmed by religious symbols. fuck that, i won't be harmed by bullshit lies.

While vampires are cool, I think werewolves are more my style. More primal, rough...
Also, I'm a furry. That probably has something to do with it.

Try "Alpha and Omega" or the "Mercy Thompson" series if you would be interested in a decent werewolf story. It's a little romance heavy, but it's amazing.

OT: It depends on the mythos. I'm rather attached to my soul, so most vampire mythos are out for me, although council level vampires in the Vampire Huntress series are powerful enough to make it tempting.

Nor do I like the idea of becoming a raging monster either permantly, or even at every full moon, so most werewolf mythos is also out. However, the werewolves from the above series, are amazing. I would trade just about anything to become one.

Werewolf. So much more BA.

I would like to point out, however, that you're opposed to vamps from twilight, then you post a pic of a scantily-clad, large-breasted, female vampire instead.

Hypocrite much?

Werewolves. Vampirism has too many restrictions (sunlight, needing blood) and the wolves are just more awesome. Yeah, vampires are suave, but werewolves make them look like pale pussies. A painful transformation just ups the badass.

Though I'd like it noted that I'd prefer to be able to turn into an actual werewolf like the one in the OP photo, rather than the wolf-man version. That's just... not so awesome.
