Werewolf. Heck yeah.

You can run wild and free and super strong if you want to. The only downsides are some increased aggression and the fact that about once a month you can't help but transform. I can deal with that.

Vampires on the other hand....BWERK. You can't eat Garlic, you can't go out during the day, you absolutely NEED to feed on some poor innocent person each month, you're expected to be classy and wear formal clothes all the time (hate that stuff), and you sleep in a cold, rigid and uncomfortable coffin. ....That...that kinda sucks. A girl I used to like a few years back waaay would have preferred to be a vampire, though, and I could never understand why.

Edit: now with 100% more picture!

To me this a fight between Alucard from Hellsing and Valkenhyen from Blazblue.

Alucard wins by a very narrow margin.

I appreciate some need for guidelines, but the chosen parameters kinda suck.

Humans.

Because the only real monster... IS MAN.
Too true. In fact, I'm going to go pick man now, because I feel like being the most evil creature of all.

It's Yugo from Bloody Roar (a fighting game series about characters that can transform into were-beasts mid battle. It's actually pretty good.).
long as they're not playing Bloody Roar 4 >.> just sayin, stick with 3

It really is time somebody laid down some official rules. I was thinking of a sort of crypto-zoological angle, identifying werewolves and vampires as Homo Lupus and Homo Nocturnus respectively. Separate species of the same genus. Vampires lust for blood can be related to an iron and/or blood cell deficiency, but transformations are only explainable by magic. The Law of Conservation of Matter means hair can't spring up and then un-grow, and a 6'2'' human can't become a 9'10'' werewolf in a matter of seconds.

Personally, I'd be a human. Call me Hunter, Grimm, Regulator, w/e. I hunt down the rogue species who don't follow the rules. Bite too many necks and I'm breathin' down yours. I'm like a cop.

Human. Why? Because if there is one thing we're good at, its killing other species that are a threat to us.
Yes, on an individual level, a vampire or werewolf is much tougher than a human, but we have industry and insane blood lust as well as a cockroaches sense of survival. Trust me, if a war broke out between the species, we would find their weaknesses, weaponize it and then mass produce it.
Carnage will ensue, and it will be glorious to behold.

I'm not a fan of vampires, although I think werewolves, given a certain level of self-control present, are pretty cool.

Hmm on the one hand werewolves don?t have so many ridicules and restrictive weaknesses and are just more badass. On the other hand vampires don?t age. If you mean the modern version of vampires that are beautiful and don't have the weird rules like not being able to cross running water, fear of garlic or being compelled to count seeds or holes in fishing nets then I guess I would pick them just for immortality.

I'm going to have to cast my lot in with the lycans, here. For a variety of reasons, really. I like vampires, I really do. But, first off, I love the wilds. Forests, tundra, plains, being away from civilization. Primal, rough, capable. These things appeal to me. And on top of that, if I were legitimately given the opportunity to become *insert list of characteristics mentioned in first post here* you have no idea how excited I'd be.
Seriously. It'd be like Christmas, Halloween, and my Birthday all rolled into one.

Argh, yes. I hate when they try to bring scientific explanations for werewolves, and forget this bit.

Also, aren't werewolves suppose to turn into wolves? Not JESUSCHRISTLOOKATTHESIZEOFTHATTHING monsters?

...

Additionally, people saying "were" to mean assorted halfhuman things pisses me off. "Were" is the "man" part of "wolfman". You see men around all the time.

And, why werewolves? Why not were armadillos?

Also, female werewolves should be "wifwolves", surely?

And, why not wifarmadillos?
