What about a timed respawn, putting you with your colleagues simultaneously?Triforceformer said:Instant respawn. No matter what game, no matter what context, instant respawn is a POS mechanic. Even if the the game is "designed" around it, it still takes away anything you would call strategy or teamwork. It encourages, nay, DEMANDS you to run blindly at what resembles an objective. Got killed? Press X to respawn and try again! Fucking bullshit.
Ah. I figured that's what it was.Redlin5 said:I believe it refers to people using the supposedly overpowered grenade launcher in MW 2. I don't know if it deserves the reputation as I've never played the game.ffs-dontcare said:Btw, I have no idea what the hell a "noobtube" is.
It's not.ffs-dontcare said:Ah. I figured that's what it was.Redlin5 said:I believe it refers to people using the supposedly overpowered grenade launcher in MW 2. I honestly don't see the big deal. If someone used a weapon on me that was supposedly over-powered, that's fine because it's not like he cheated or used an exploit. I think there's a name for such people who get upset at people using certain weapons that they think they have the authority to disapprove of, but I don't think this site would like it very much if I said it.

Here's a better way to put noob tubing. Imagine a gun that if you are within 10 feet of its shot you instantly die, it has extreme range and it is an instantly unlocked weapon. Oh and also, it is possible to spam it.ffs-dontcare said:Ah. I figured that's what it was.Redlin5 said:I believe it refers to people using the supposedly overpowered grenade launcher in MW 2. Ack. That reminds me of a time I was playing Counter-Strike at a friend's house. Everyone kept freezing, then dying because some guy was running around shooting us while we were frozen.. Also, I can't stand people who camp near spawn points.Aylaine said:Probably hackers. I don't like knowing someone out there has aimbot or something that completely defeats the purpose of aim+shoot. :x
True. It's one thing to run around a spawn site shooting. It's quite another to stand behind them and pop them in the head every respawn. Not to mention the often illegitimate means of getting there.Kurokasumi said:for the most part in regards to camping I agree, things I can't is spawn campers, can't do much in terms of strategy with them if you can move two inches before you lose your head. And the other reason, I like to rely on smoke grenades or phosphorus grenades to either conceal my presence, or burn them.
However, in a game like Call of Duty, because they use aim assist in the fucking multilayer because I guess treyarch and activision think we can't aim or something, they just need to wave the scope around in the smoke until they cross-hair sticks for a second, fire, and they just got a free kill. Other then that, camping is legit. Unless it's spawn camping, in which case, you're just ruining the game for everyone.
