Lost Odyssey is a good example of how I play games. I really liked it, and was really enthused with playing it for a while, but at some point on disc 4 I just...stopped. Couldn't be bothered that day, or whatever, and then the same the next day, and the next...BMWaugh said:I'd say I probably come somewhere between:
I'll try for 100%, but I'll prolly give up before then as monotony sets in
At 100% I'm not done 'til it's over
The two games that come to mind are Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.
Funnily enough, on the first playthrough of each, I gave up before I got all the achievements, but I recently borrowed Blue Dragon off a friend and got 100% on it, and right now I'm working on getting 100% on Lost Odyssey. Last time I only had four or five achievements to go, some of the immortal Skill Masters, and Treasure Trove, the latter being the reason I gave up, believing it'd stop me from ever getting 100%. But not this time, I've promised myself that much.
This is true for me too. I definitely do some genre binging.Flishiz said:As detailed as the answers are, none of them resonate perfectly with me. I'm not exactly the "Try but never reach 100%", but I guess it could be said just the same, because I either finish the game completely and keep replaying it (Mass Effect), or I just binge on the game until I can't stand the sight of even the genre or its subgenres (Fallout 3).
