Whats the diffrence between track ball and ball?
I got a lazer,

A ball mouse has the ball on the bottom, while you move the mouse manually. A trackball mouse has it on the top, and you move the ball while the mouse stays stationary.

Yeah, anything over 2000 is overkill in my book.

I play with 2500 dpi...it doesn't seem like overkill. I started with my lowest DPI setting on my mouse but over time I would kick it up a notch and it becomes so...natural.

Ahh... I miss my optical mouse. It was having issues with clicking properly, so I had to go back to an older trackball mouse that was laying around. It took me forever to get used to using it again, especially in Photoshop.
