Its wierd because I think twenty ten sounds horrible and therefore say two thousand ten. However, we don't say one thousand nine hundred ten for 1910.

Two thousand and ten for me. I will only start saying the millennia and century as a single number followed by the decade and year as a single number when we reach 2101. Saying two thousand one hundred and one is a mouthful, as much as one thousand nine hundred and ninety nine was last millennium. Two thousand and ten is not too much of a mouthful however.

I alternate between the two. Does it really matter? I prefer the Imperial date anyway...

The title makes you sound a bit like Kyle Reese at the start of The Terminator.

Saying or hearing Twenty Ten always annoys me a little bit, I prefer saying Two Thousand and Ten.

EDIT: Woot 800th post!

There was a thread like this already. With more options though.

OT: Two thousand and ten. Or the Finnish equivalent as I don't speak English generally. It's always the easiest way to say any year in question unless it's possible to say only the last two numbers of it. Not taking that into question, I still don't like Twenty Ten at all.

I know this is a weird thread but I'm just curious what people call it.
Someone reads CAD...

OT: "Ten". Last year was "Oh-nine", everyone knows which millennium we're in (it's been the same for 10 years now, and won't change for a while...)

2,010. 20-10 seems like we're trying too hard to make it sound like the futuristic society of the Jetsons.
I think this deserve a /thread

Both are acceptable. Two thousand ten is more proper, but frankly who cares?

If I did I'd probably know what CAD is.

I'll be calling this year 2009 on all my paperwork by accident until about March, when I finally get used to it being 2010.

365.25 days of putting MM/DD/09 on everything tends to develop a habit.

To the point, however. I, along with many other people, referred to 2009 as "Oh-Nine." Which raises the question of what we will call this year. "Ten"?

Twenty-ten.

2000-2009 are the only years where I'd pronounce it "2000 and...".
