This is not an IQ test.

A proper IQ test can be taken without any knowledge beforehand. The animals question warrants that you have seen the given animals, the numbers ones warrants that you've learned maths, et cetera, et cetera.

Real IQ tests are only images and figures, and as you probably understand by this point, IQ is only a small portion of the entire matrix that is intelligence and knowledge.

Incidentially, my "IQ" is 133.

129, and that I got from an actual real life professional, not a website. That test ranged from memory to geometry to math to logic tests.

Also, I doubt that site is accurate. IQ has a bell curve, and IIRC around 10% score over 115, and something like 1% over 130. So according to that, the Escapist has the collective IQ of a full NASA R&D lab.
But that might be a different numeric scale; after all, people have been arguing over IQ tests for years.

I might be biased, of course, because I got 138 in an official IQ test, but I don't take this as a definitive measure of my mental faculties

EDIT: the interwebz site gave me an IQ of 151, which I doubt

Also, the questions are nothing like the real test. They are a series of puzzles, each of which has a right answer, while the real version examines how you think, which areas you are good at, and how fast you can understand/solve things

My official IQ is around 160, but I don't particularly care. Because, as you said, it shouldn't be taken as a be all, end all version of how smart you are.

Depends on so many things. I once took ten IQ tests across ten days, started at 138 and ended at near 170 (about 167 if I remember correctly).

Cold testing I usually place somewhere between 140-160 overall.
