I miss summer, i live in Denmark so it's a while since we had several consecutive days with sunshine and heat. It's my favourite part of year, but also the rarest.
Come to Wales. We don't have summer here, we merely get slightly warmer rain. On rare occasionas, we get snow, but mostly just cold rain. We have rain of every variety.ShiningAmber said:I've lived all over the world and I have hated Summer in every single one.
I hate the heat. I hate sunlight (I'm actually allergic to it. I will sneeze in rapid succession) and living in the South, oh my god it gets so hot and humid and it's like that for over half the year.
Give me Late Autumn and a freezing Winter. I love the Holidays from Halloween to New Years. I love the cold and the festive feel. Something about it, maaan.
Sounds a hell of a lot like Arizona to me, which I am only fond of summer for the memories I've had and that I usually go on a vacation to California for a week in July. Good thing the most recent dust storm where I live wasn't that bad.Fiz_The_Toaster said:I personally hate it.
Too damn hot. It's going to be 120 degrees soon since it's been damn near close to that for the past several days, and we've already had our first dust storm.
It really sucks if your A/C is broken, like mine is and probably won't be fixed until Friday or Saturday, because all you want to do is just crawl into a hole and die.![]()

The first is OK, the second is divine.
The heat is pretty good as well.
You, sir, are correct!almightysheep said:Sounds a hell of a lot like Arizona to me, which I am only fond of summer for the memories I've had and that I usually go on a vacation to California for a week in July. It's moreso my definition of too freaking cold. Our Winter's get down to just above 0C, and compared to -30C it's nothing. But I guess it's more the contrast of 45C down to 0C.A said:I'd like to hear the Australian's definition of "too freaking cold", because it's not unusual to have several weeks of -30C (-22 Fahrenheit) in Finland.Toxinthegreat said:Loathe Summer. Australian Summers are way hotter then what you American's are used to. I'm beginning to loathe Winter as well. Too freaking cold.
Fun fact: when you're riding a bicycle when it's -40C (can't be sure about the temperature because mercury freezes at -39) you have to blink your eyes a lot, otherwise the water in your eyeballs starts to freeze.
Needless to say, I'm a summer person.
