You're missing the point. It's not about what they really give. It's about what they offer to lure your soul into their purposes.Radoh said:Hey guess what, I know absolutely nothing about the Warhammer series and even less about the individual players on the field and even I know that Nurgle does NOT grant immortality in a blissful disease free life.
Nurgle does the exact opposite in fact.
Foolish mortal! We offer you limitless power, yet you cling on to your false emperor in your vain hope of redemption! Prepare to feel the might of Chaos! LET THE GALAXY BURN!Yosharian said:Seriously. 'Best Chaos God'? You guys are bloody crazy. There is no best, they are all equally insane. Picking any one of these gods would mean an eternity spent in suffering of some sort.
How could anyone be fooled by that though?bartholen said:You're missing the point. It's not about what they really give. Yeesssss!Yosharian said:Slaanesh: you spend eternity being raped by daemons
You appear to have pledged your self to the chaos entity know as Bioware, the Ethereal Caste has been informed.cubikill said:As a member of the Tau I find your interactions with the warp to be Incredibly foolhardy.and thoes who pledge themselves to the warp must be removed, for Coexistence is not possible. All raced Sentient races save for chaos and Orks are welcome to set aside there foolish desires and pick up the mantle if the Greater Good. I serve the Greater Good, I have no need for gods or the warp.
OT: Slaanesh; I mean of you are doomed to an Eternity of suffering and madness anyways I would rather go out in a party filled with Sex, drugs, pain and eternal longing. On second thought I'll stick with the Tau.
On the subject of Nurgle, aren't space marines practically immortal anyway? I never quite got why they'd want to sell their soul to Nurgle.Ashley Blalock said:Nurgle, those followers are some foul smelling things and just too damn happy for their own good. A thousand year case of the flu isn't my idea of fun.
It's been a while since I've dipped into the mythology but if I remember correctly the uncorrupted Space Marines who serve the Emperor live for 100's of years but eventually they can die of old age. The Chaos Marines are based in a section of space where Chaos has warped the rules of time and space so the same Chaos Marine that was seen 1000 years ago can pop up without looking like they have aged a day.nykirnsu said:On the subject of Nurgle, aren't space marines practically immortal anyway? The Chaos god of Bioware, They temp you with amazing entertainment experiences. You come to believe that nothing can ever go wrong, but once they set there hooks in, they disappoint you leaving you in despair for all eternity, not to mention that damn starchild will never shut up.albino boo said:You appear to have pledged your self to the chaos entity know as Bioware, the Ethereal Caste has been informed.cubikill said:As a member of the Tau I find your interactions with the warp to be Incredibly foolhardy.and thoes who pledge themselves to the warp must be removed, for Coexistence is not possible. Jamash said:Yeah, the OP's description did seem a bit too good to be true... but a bit of deception and Heresy is what you'd expect from a Heretic pawn of Chaos.evilthecat said:Just to clarify the OPs description. Nurgle is the plague god. Servants of Nurgle become absolutely infested with disease to the point that they are only questionably alive, but they don't suffer any pain or debilitation. In fact, the experience becomes a kind of narcotic bliss to them.Jamash said:I hate even the idea of disease or sickness, even the sight of my own phlegm or a pussy spot makes me feel a bit queasy, so "a life free of disease or sickness" sounds like a deal clincher... the "eternal pleasing comfort" is just icing on the "delicious, disease free and totally not sick or rotten in any way" cake.
The reason why they're so tough to kill is because.. well.. how do you kill something whose organs are all mushy gloop already?
I suspect the small print to Slaanesh's "pleasure and beauty*" reads:
[small]*"Pleasure only valid if you are pleased by having your skin flayed by a beautiful** hybrid of a scorpion and tits""
**"Definition of beauty may differ from person to Deamon".[/small]
Khorne's gift of "ultimate physical prowess and power, unmatched authority and skill at arms" isn't so great either when you spend all of your life constantly mad and gotten to, and use your combat prowess beating up and mutilating corpses.

The greater good dictates what colour explosions should be, that choice is clear evidence of chaos. Listen to the voice of the Ethereal caste, put aside the taint of chaos and work for the greater good.cubikill said:The Chaos god of Bioware, They temp you with amazing entertainment experiences.
