the Deathclaw Gauntlet is the most powerful unarmed weapon in the game and the bottle cap mine might be the best mine in the game.

So far I only managed to make the shishkebab. (I memorize the locations of motorcycles, and stockpile pilot lights and blades.) Wich I use as my standard melee weapon. Its just too bad the fual tank shows as a backpack. Backpacks look a bit silly imo, and its the only thing stopping me from using my minigun for everything.

Well my friend proved it to me when the dart gun really did cripple those Deathclaws AND mutants....even behemoths I think.

Shiskebah +Pyromanac ftw. Or Just give it to a partner and let them tank for you while you vat everything else straight to hell. Flaming machete + Hockeymask + vault suit + ghoul (whatever his name was) = Jason Vorhees lmao.

Well, without the Dart Gun, Deathclaws will **** you up almost every time.

The Deathclaw Gauntlet is only really useful if you're specializing in unarmed attack.

The Nuka-Grenade, while devastating, has plenty of other explosive weapons that can do the same job. (Plasma grenades, etc)

Bottlecap Mines, same story. Plasma and frag mines, if your explosives' skill is high enough, can have nearly the same effect.

The Rock-It Launcher...is just mindless fun. Not very effective most of the time, and terribly innaccurate. Also, it's a pain to lug around all the crap to load it with just in case. It weighs you down pretty badly.

The Shishkebab is only good for people spec'd in melee attacks, and is deceptively poor unless you take the Pyromaniac Perk. But still, it's pretty awesome at higher levels. But hardly necessary.

The Railroad Rifle. That is all.

So, in conclusion: the Dart Gun seems like the only one that you actually need. The rest are just super-awesome fun.

Rock-it Launcher.

2 words.

dodgeball decapatation.

snipers a small gun btw.

Need to get my hands on the railway rifle plans, got enough junk to build a few hundred.
Do the mission for the museum manager in Rivet City where you find the Declaration of Independence. It's pretty straightforward, although it is really hard if you don't have enough healing items.

Hmm... It appears the dart gun has won over the crowd. Even if the railway rifle makes awesome train noises. =P

Shishkebab was the only one I really used, it wasn't to heavy and did a fair amount of damage with its -5hp flame modifier.
I really couldnt find a use for the others.
I mean when you have a Gatling laser, using a dart gun seems kinda pointless(har-har).

Dart gun is the most useful, Yao Guai and Deathclaws are useless with broken legs. I love pinning peoples heads to walls with the Railway gun and the Bottle Cap Mines have a pretty good kick.

Well, the custom weapon I've gotten the most use out of has got to be the Railway Rifle. I pick up insane amounts of ammo for that thing, and I just love the sound it makes. Choo-choo! Plus, it's a good non-sniper precision weapon, and is good for sticking people's heads to walls.
This. It really, REALLY made me wish there was an Engineer's Hat in the game somewhere.

CHOO-CHOO!

I don't get why people are so bothered by Deathclaws. I just kill them until they're dead.

They're pretty damn harmless when compared to my first encounter with them in the original Fallout.

Dart Gun is handy, but that doesn't mean I'd ever use it. :p

Only custom weapons I have ever used, despite making them all, are the Rock-It launcher (killed people with old books) and the Bottlecap Mine (nothing says "Stop Following Me!" quite like it).

Dart Gun wins. It saved my life more than once against Deathclaws and other big close-range creatures.
