Bioware for Mass Effect, NIS for Disgaea, and Atlus for the Persona series and a lil' forgotten gem of a bygone age called Ogre Battle 64.

My favourite developer is Nintendo for their past achievments before the Wii. I will always go back to games like Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Ocarina of Time, Link to the Past, Super Mario Brothers (3, Land, World and 64), Mario Kart 64, Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong 64, Starfox - Lylat Wars, SSB Melee (I know it's HAL but where would it be without Nintendo?), and probably some more I can't remember.

That is a very tough question. There are a large number of developers that I care for but I would have to say that ArenaNet is the developer that is my favorite at this time.

Other developers I really like are Camelot for giving my the Golden Sun series, Sucker Punch for the Sly Cooper series, SquareSoft for Kingdom Hearts 1, SquareEnix for Dragon Quest 8, Pandemic for Star Wars Battlefront 2, GameFreak for raising me on Pokemon, Nintendo for Mario Kart, SSB and the Gameboy versions of the Zelda games, Team ICO for Shadow of the Colossus, Gearbox for Borderlands (and hopefully Borderlands 2), Black Isle for Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 and 2, Intelligent Systems for Fire Emblem and Rockstar for Grand Theft Autos 3 and 4.

However, I've been getting into indie games recently (who hasn't) and Adhesive Games, MinMax, Taleworlds and Arrowhead are all awesome studios.

I love Blizzard/Valve equally. I honestly can not think of a single bad game either has made in the past decade.

For me it's a tie between Platinum games and Retro Studios. I just love their games soooo much.

I was counting games that they published. I often bring up Hyperdimension Neptunia. Create concept and a great art style. But the execution was lacking. Can't wait for Disgaea 4, though.
And I never played that game. (looks it up) It sounds okay. That bad? I have my own hatred for a particular RPG.
FFX.
I got the plat for Neptunia.

I think it was better than Trinity Universe in some ways, and not as good in others. But both were pretty solid if you are okay with Dungeon Crawls. Both have the typical NIS style wacky sense of humour. But Neptunia is great for anyone who has been playing games for a long time, as the references abound (you are in Gameindustri after all - haha).

Trinity Universe on the other hand borrowed something from Persona 3. Stay in a dungeon too long and you are attacked by a very powerful being. I killed one that gave me something like 53 million XP! I gained about 70 levels for each of the 4 characters in that fight. It was AWESOME!

Ar Tonelico Qoga is the other you might be thinking of. It's actually quite good. I didn't realize that the girls would be stripping though (and was a bit embarrassed when it first happened as my Parents were visiting when it first happened - oy!).
I have a question: I came across a copy of Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel. Do I need to play the previous two to play it? Because if not, I'll start on it. My biggest complaint againt Neptunia was the obtuse inventory system and the ability to heal being based on chance.

Well it's always been a close race between Bethesda and Bioware, and since Bethesda isn't its own choice... I'm going with Bioware.

For me it is a tie between Bioware and Blizzard. If Swtor turns out to be good, then I'm pretty sure Bioware is going to snatch the crown for themselfs.

Blizzard and close behind Valve. Don't like the Activision thing in front of Blizz though.
Why do I like Blizzard the most? Well, it's because every single game they have ever made (ehh, skipping the arcade stuff, but even those were nice) was brilliant. I've probably clocked as many hours playing Blizzard games as I have playing everything else out there. Warcraft, Diablo and Starcraft have consumed my life, and I have no regrets.

A similar thing can be said for Valve, great games, all of them, but with far less replayability and overall appeal.

Nintendo EAD of Tokyo and Retro Studios have made some of my favourite games of all time. Choosing Nintendo was a no brainer for me.

Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Retro is amazing. They might even be my favorite Nintendo studio.

That'd be a toss-up between Bethesda and Nitro+

Bethesda's got interesting game worlds and free-roaming gameplay down, and Nitro+ got some utterly fantastic horror stories to its name.

I really like Valve. And I really like Nintendo. I also really like Square Enix, especially for awesome games like Yosumin!.

But if I had to pick a favorite, right now it'd have to be Q Entertainment. Puzzle games are some of my favorites (see Yosumin!). And they really go the extra mile to make them more than just a game, but an experience.

As for favorite publisher, like a lot of people I love Atlus.

I'm a Bioware fan, but I've got to give some credit to Bay 12 Games here. Toady One thinks of everything.

Truthfully, my 'favorite' developer depends on what games that developer is making at a particular time. I personally think that Valve's games are overrated, but as a company, especially one who knows how to keep customers coming back, they are exceptional. If this were a poll about least favorite developer, I would say Activision, and even then they don't really develop games so much as cut and paste their last games from the year before with different graphics.
