I only hate things that are a degree of "not enjoyable" for me which passes beyond the spectrum of annoying or uninteresting until it becomes downright loathsome.

So I generally only hate things I really didn't/don't enjoy. Like the Transformers movie.

Sometimes a fanbase makes me ashamed to like something, though.

Flies, whale-hunters and Disney stars. I hate them all for various reasons. The two latter probably come under the "destroying something dear" banner.

Hate is a strong word..but I really, really, don't like Halo.

I am going to go with the "I dislike the overrated nature of the game which progressively gets worse as the number at the end of the title increases" option which I created in my mind.

I hate things that people follow blindly. I have to agree with that the most. I can't stand when someone likes something but can't even explain what they like about it. This happens most often when I ask people why they like rap so much.

In one fell swoop I showed up the silliness of that particular meme and killed it off - at least for a while. It was a good day. Has the meme been resurrected? Damn. Better find another obscure religion to threadify.

I hate Twilight and SMeyer for teaching young girls that stalkers is OK, and you aren't worth anything if you don't have a boyfriend. I also hate her because she earns money serving that crap to people, and because she has convinced way to many people that her "literature" is as good as the classics.

I hate MGS because of all the people who are gushing over how great it is. It's a soap opera, that's what it is. With boring gameplay. Good thing most of it are cutscenes then. But those are boring as well.

I hate people who earn money because other people are stupid enough to give them money. Feng Shui decorators, psychics, self-help seminar "doctors, The Church of Scientology (Hey, believe what you want. I don't hate those who believe in it, I hate the Scientology church itself.) Oh, and I hate religious people who do everything in their power to convert you.

Seems like I do hate quite a few things, but I have my reasons. It is never blind hate.

Um, not everyone hates things because its cool or popular or destroying something. i hate things that use the laws created to protect people in a way to screw said people over. i also hate dishonesty because it makes the world more complicated and irritating. I'm not following a fad or some such nonsense by disliking or hating something.

I hate mosquitos and any other insect that decides to bite me.

I also hate cockroaches because they look disguisting and spread disease.

Plus I hate vegetarians who take the moral high ground because they do not eat meat. I am fine with vegetarians, but they should keep their opinions to themselves while I masticate on half raw lumps of cow. Same goes for non-drinkers and non-smokers.

I don't think I hate anything much. I get irritated by certain things, but there are always going to be gaping chasms between the things I like and the things other people, well, mainly my sister, likes. Hating them is a bit counter-productive and a waste of my energy.
