I say "I hate..." a lot but, if I really think about it, there's not much that I actually truly hate. I think I'm just doing that lovely British thing of always wanting to have something to moan about. And obviously comedic exaggeration. If something mildly irritates me, I'll say that I hate it with the fire of a thousand suns, and so on.
Looking at the poll, "I don't hate it, but I really hate the people who follow it blindly" sounds like the sort of thing I'd say. There's a lot of things that irritate me which are completely average and would pass me by unnoticed if I didn't have loads of people around going on about how great it is. Because they annoy me, that annoyance is projected onto whatever they're praising.
But, yeah. I used to be a hate-filled little sod. I'm pretty chilled nowadays, since I realised that life's just easier that way. There is, however, one thing (or rather, one person) left that I absolutely despise, and that's partly because of the 'everyone going on about him' thing mentioned above, but mostly because he's astoundingly irritating and makes me grind my teeth so hard it's a wonder I've got any left. No point naming him, suffice to say it's a popular Hollywood actor.
