You can certainly do it with half of the comments in this thread. In fact, i'd call you even better at avoiding originality than Dragonforce!

Come on man, that wasn't even an attempt to answer the title of the thread let alone add to the conversation. The OP has already dicussed the repetition as a factor but you feel the need to jump in and lash out with the same old line? Poor form, poor form indeed.

Uhh have you ever listened to Dragonforce? There is nothing to add about them except repetition. Dude they use the same exact riffs repeatedly what is there to say about a band that doesn't bother with originality except with an unoriginal comment? To say you can't use that against them is because the OP stated it is a cop-out. Dragonforce is niche crap and always will be because they appeal to the lowest common denominator in the Metal Community.

I personally do not like them because I have yet to see them play their stuff live without screwing it up to the point where I cannot listen to it. People call them StudioForce for a reason...

Well, my criticism come from one thing. All their songs have one fucking chord. I don't really think it moves anywhere. Sure the guitarists wanking wrist is super fast but it's just not enough. But i surely wouldn't go on websites and mock others taste in music. It just works for some people. I myself am a musical douchebag. Love it or leave it. It's music.

I got to see these guys when they were in the states (for once). Maybe a crowd 50 people tops. I have to say their music is a little repetitive and definitely ridiculous, but hey, I love power metal, so that's not a problem for me. They kick ass live. How often do you get to see a keytar solo anymore?

Extra: Fun drinking game- have people choose words such as 'fire', 'flames', 'high', 'dragon', 'steel', 'pain', or 'fight' and drink every time you here your word. Needless to say, you're going to get trashed in no time at all.

They have their heads firmly lodged up their asses and are all the worse for it.

I hate them because they don't make good music. All they do is play really fast music, which quite frankly, I think sounds terrible. Plus being able to play live well is a sign of a good band for me, if they lack this then I have no interest in listening to them.

Those are their best songs, as well as Fury of the Storm. The only issue is, they all sound almost identical to each other.

I like them, but they're not great. I like them in the same sense I like Green Day's old stuff, basically. Something about them just makes them really repetitive (seems to be a recurring theme after reading through these pages).

I don't see why anyone would hate them, though. They've got talent, but they don't know how to apply it effectively (as opposed to bands like Dream Theater, for example). I could justify hating Nickelback, but not Dragonforce.

Calm down? From What? Talking about the boring songs of Dragonforce? I would hardly get worked up over a band like that.

I do get that some people think they're repetitive, but why does it call for hate and stupid profanity? Every DF video, 90% claim that they suck. When will people learn to be more respectful and less judgemental? Oh, and while I'm on it, a little survey on what the Escapists think of them.

Here's something I've noticed about the interwebs, when people hate something they broadcast it to the world, the people who like it stay quiet because there's no use arguing with someone who's already made up their mind....and think that everyone needs to know what they think.
