No.

I already have way too much testosterone than I know what to do with.
And yet your avatar is a kitten?
It's hard to tell, but the kitten is grooming itself after taking a chunk out of someone's jugular.

It's a man's kitten through and through.
Ah, I see. My mistake sir. Sounds pretty bad ass, where would one acquire such a kitten?
Mr. Binkles did not have an ordinary birth.

You see, it's rumored that Mr. Binkles' mother (Mrs. Binkles presumably) had a short, passionate relationship with a feline creature known as a werecat. Werecats, as everyone knows, are mythical creatures with supernatural abilities and have the occasional taste for blood.

After their night of passion, the werecat sauntered off as his needs were fulfilled and Mrs. Binkles was impregnated by the werecat's supernatural seed. Mrs. Binkles knew that her child would be special and, sure enough, after months of waiting, Mr. Binkles was born.

Unfortunately, Mrs. Binkles died during the birth, but Mr. Binkles survived by drinking gasoline.

Leaded gasoline.

The leaded gasoline enhanced Mr. Binkles's werecat abilities and made him become strong. It was Mr. Binkles who found me and luckily for myself, decided to let me live. He allowed me to take him into my home as a trade for my life and that I would, on occasion, throw live, full grown chickens into his room every once and awhile.

Mr. Binkles and I developed a special bond that only a human and half wercat could have and today we're the best of pals.

I don't really have enough information to go on at this stage. While I accept it would be physically impossible to live up to the hype it has, it has potential to be a good game.

I don't see how you can really make your mind up now unless you are just beligerently sticking to preconceptions about something that doesn't exist yet.

It may get rave reviews and a massive buzz around it, in which case I may buy it. If you say "no" now, woud you still not buy it? On the other hand, ot may come out and people will say that it doesn't really hold a candle to the other good FPS games around at the moment, in which case I won't buy it.

No, I still refuse to acknowledge it's existence. Duke Nukem Forever will always be unfinished to me.

Never played a Duke Nukem game before (regrettably). I'd like to get it just so I can say I have played a game from the series (good or not). Plus, it's essentially a part of history with the 12 year wait for it to even get out.

I said yes, but I doubt it. The only thing that would make me run to the store is if Yahtzee actually likes it.

The game isn't released yet. Don't count your chickens before they hatch or some shit.

Yes.
Its not because I'm a fan of Duke either. I'm a fan of Sonic and I haven't bought a single game with the word Sega on it since the classic collection came out for the 360.
I'll buy it because I want an FPS that doesn't take itself seriously. I'm tired of the way too serious games in the market today.
I expect it'll be good, too. I don't expect it to be the colossal game that revolutionizes the genre, although that chance is always there (for any game). I expect it to be a fun game where you shoot aliens and pelt out one-liners. Honestly, that's all I want.

No. Gearbox is betting we're all a bunch of easily lead sheep. Those who don't buy it because "ZOMG hype about how it's awesome!" might still buy it because "ZOMG, It's Duke Nukem' Forever, the game that was never going to come out!"

I refuse to be a part of their marketing scheme except, under the category of "people who won't spend money on a product as a result of hype alone."

In all likeliness no.

Someone I know will likely have it though so I'll just play their copy.

Worth a rent, just for curiosity.

Everyone will buy it to either laugh at it or for nostalgia.

Always bet on Duke. Always.

I'll probably get this. I'll probably be suckered into getting a special edition because we all know one of those will be released xD

I never thought of a "Rent it" option. There was a 3rd option but it was removed by moderation.

Defiantly. Hell I reckon people are saying no just because they are so cranky with the release date :p

I think it depends on how good the game actually is. I never played the original Duke Nukem, so I won't be comparing the new one to that, nor does the gargantuan waiting period between games really bother me

It probably won't be the kind of game that I like, so I'd say that I'm unlikely to buy it, but if it's especially good then I may do

Why did the escapist suddenly start caring so much about piracy I remember people talking about it without anyone ever getting in trouble ? why the change in policy?

OT: no I have better things to spend my money on then a half finished excuse for a game
I found that weird too. I think I saw a poll with pirate in it a few days ago, but that could just have been me. It was put there to acknowledge what LordKat said, that he was sick of all this stuff and he was going to pirate the game. I thought it is a legitimate opinion, so I put it in the poll (besides yes/no poll sounds kind of dry). Also I think it's an interesting idea like: I'll see what they have done, but they deserve no money for it.

I'll buy it even if its just novelty/nostalgia of it. I'm not expecting much from it, but it will look awesome on the bookshelf next to my Plutonium pack.

No 'maybe' option??

As with anything, I will check it out if it gets enough good reviews. Otherwise I am not bothered.
