EDIT: Oh yes, and saying "Your comic is bad and you should feel bad" is probably the most ridiculous reasoning I've heard in a long time. It's a webcomic. Nobody is forcing anybody to read it. If you don't like it, don't. If- screw it, just read my above posts. I've already said all this.
But couldn't the same thing be said about you're post? Nobody is forcing you to read "Your comic is bad and you should feel bad" why are you complaining about it? Are you saying that the creator of the blog shouldn't be allowed to criticize the works of others?

what is with the hate of Ctrl-Alt-Del? its a web comic, if you dont like it, then dont read it.

Because Yahtzee didn't like it, that's why.

And he had a not shown miscarriage in the comic, which made some people leave and go back to their vumit. Not sure if I spelled that right but I highly suggest you don't try to find out, especially if your at work.

And of course as something gets bigger and more popular people just hate it because it makes them cooler.

It's a Futurama reference.

I kind of like CAD, it has its flaws such as the Miscarrage story just seemed a bit of an odd gear change and didn't play well with me, but I find its enjoyable enough. As for Buckley having some extereme superiority complex, like Yatzee said "Its like complaining about a good Hotdog because the vendor is the Boston Strangler. You can still enjoy the Hotdog just try not to make eye contact." Just replace Hotdog with Webcomic and Boston Strangler with an egotistical jerk. Its really a matter of opinion though, I don't think CAD is the best thing ever but its enjoyable enough for me personally and if you don't like it just avoid it like I do with High School Musical.

I read CAD, it's got it's bright moments, not many I agree, but the whole CAD bashing is ridiculous. It goes beyond bashing, it's a competition of who can hate it the most. I can see why people don't like it, but not even Jar Jar Binks get his much hate nowadays, that's saying a lot.

As for Winter-Een-Mas, it's a pretty good way to settle a date for a LAN ^^

Ah, the difference is that the author of this article is not trying to entertain, he is trying to send a message. Plus, I'm not attacking the author, I'm criticizing his arguments for being relatively bitter and hateful.

It is a thin line, and I fear I may have crossed it a few hypocritical times. I apologize for acting so narrow-minded. I shall try to present my opinions in a more open manner in the future.

I must have missed that episode. Good show, that.

But I guess simply saying the title is poorly worded leads to people thinking I haven't read the entire article. I did. It is essentially a frothing hate-fest directed at Buckley.

Cad and I are ok I suppose. Though, there hasn't been anything funny on in a while.

I wont be celebrating winter-een-mas any more than I do at any other point in the year.

To meatloaf, i dont quite understand where you are coming from with the jealousy argument. Do you mean to say that someone making legitimate claims against a webcomic is always going to be fueled by jealousy? That seems a little off to me.

The only correct way to celebrate this holiday.......is by gaming! :D
But honestly, wherever I go online everybody's always flaming Ctrl+Alt+Del, I just don't get that, apparently it having some dialogue and a story means it sucks.
The greatest part is, the haters can't seem to shut up about it....I mean, if you hate it so much, it would be more beneficial to your temper to remove yourself from anything coming close to it.

No I won't change the amount of time I spend gaming for one day because some random guy on the internet says it's a holiday for gaming on that day.

I was going to say something derogative about Tim Buckley, but it seems you all took care of that for me. Go Team!
Ditto. Richard Groovy Pants pretty much summed up my thoughts exactly. It seems most gaming web comics try to copy Penny Arcade. The one real exception to this is VG Cats. God I love that comic.

Back on topic. I don't really seem to feel like gamers really need a holiday. Most game enough as is.
