I'd give it to the scout. Just cause its the only class where OFFENSE isn't to kill ppl but merely to cap the flags. Other than your speed you useless in a fight. yeh the bat is nice but u get caught in a hallway your more or less screwed.

p.s. cant believe yall think the demo-man is worst

There is no worst class. There are worst played classes though.

For me, it's the medic. It's mostly little things that the medic can do, yet those things can be of great benefit. Stuff like overhealing anyone you see 5 seconds before a match starts, your über is ready anyway. Stuff like changing your partner (it doesn't always have to be that same heavy or demoman). Stuff like watching your protèges' back, in case a spy might pop around.
Most people just play it as: find heavy, press M1, follow him. Activate über when about to enter a busy area to rack up some points. Rince and repeat.

Sadly.

There isn't one. All character classes have their strengths and weaknesses. Unlike games like CoD4 where you can make yourself practically invincible. (No I do not hate CoD4)

None. They are all good.It all depends on the person that is playing said class.

There are no bad classes in tf2.

Also Demoman the worst class? Wtflol? You people can't be serious, that's what newcomers think!

Even non-competitive demomans can pretty much rape the other team with some skill.

Their is no worst class. But if you mean what is our worst class.... Scout. I get too cocky with the bat and end up trying to ruch a pyro from behind, failing, and being gurned to death.

DEMOMAN!

Mainly because he has little in the way of an obvious counter. Even nerfed he doesn't really fit into the rock paper scissors mechanic of a fight.

He would be better with one of the grenade launchers gone and more ammo for the other, as it is there isn't really a situation where a Demoman is inappropriate, which can make him a massive thorn in a team's side.

But really he isn't bad compared to some class based shooters.

Having said that, most demomen are pretty vulnerable to snipers, it seems to be a blindspot in demomen's playing style...

Personally I have never found a true reason for me to use the heavy, I use him time to time but I normally do just fine without him.
That being said no class is bad if used correctly or in the right situation.

Sniper, because the players who play them are egotistical, predictable fracks mostly who rather go for the kill than the team win. And they are the only class in my humble opinion which can't claim a flag or point. Also in a match in five on five there always one (or even more) sniper instead of a useful class which can help defend or assault.
I find this offensive, as I play sniper when the situation permits. I wouldnt call myself egotistical, and I go out of the way to remain spontaneous. I am often assisting point captures, and a good sniper will target classes depending on the situation (scouts and pyros if defending, heavies and medic if attacking etc.)

But... I agree that most sniper players are egotistical "fracks" who have only heard of teamplay through the prostitues they often hire.

I think a better question would be "worst played classes", which would, of course be the Medic.

I think they're all pretty balanced. I'm worst with Spy, but I know bastards who can use that arse of a class to devastating effect.

I think TF2 is the most balanced class based game I've ever played. Lots of people don't know how to play certain classes (Medic mainly), but I can't think of a bad class overall. Personally I can't play Scout to save my life (I play Spy). Some classes take some time to grasp the subtleties; there can be a real sharp learning curve for first time Engineers, and Spies in my experience.

I'm tempted to say Soldier as the slow reload times means if you botch your first shot then you're at a loss. The same, however, could be said for the Spy as they are weak in 1 on 1 combat, and rely on the element of surprise, but I've made plenty of kills, and wins practically on my own as a spy. The Medic is a poor ranged combatant, but then you'd be playing him wrong, again, however, I've made loads of kills as a Medic and find their Syringe gun great against cloaked Spies, and fast moving Scouts if there's not a Pyro around.

I, unfortunately, have the PS3 version so maybe the updates have shifted the balance, but there are no bad TF2 classes, only bad players.

I know they aren't the worst, but spies just piss me off. They may be fine to play with when the people know how to use them and there are a good amount, but when ever single person in the game is a spy and one gets backstabbed every twenty seconds, something is very wrong.

There is no universally useless class, but there are certainly classes useless for a given individual - it depends on his playstyle. It's not like someone who has 100+ hours as a Scout could just pick Spy or Engi up and be useful right away. For me... ummm... let me think. My performance is:

Scout: below average. I need to concentrate on correct strategy - being a nuisance to an enemy - if i want to be of some use.

Soldier: average. I don't know no fancy tricks like juggling.

Pyro: average. Spychecking and W+M1,but nothing more sophisticated.

Demoman: above average (i don't use sticky bombs all that often,or i would be good).

Heavy: below to above average (it depends mainly on opposition's composition - more soldiers and snipers = more problems).

Engineer: good. I have played mostly as engineer before KOTH maps were added.

Medic: above average.

Sniper: below average to god-awful. I'd say sniper is most useless to me due to high ping.

Spy: above average since appearance of Cloak and Dagger watch.

As for personal hate,it's certainly snipers and spies. And pyros - a bit. I never really understood what's wrong with demomen, especially after all the nerfs.

Not useless. I hate w+m1 pryos, though. They give the rest of us a bad name.

Also, thanks to our damn w+m1 cousins, I now become very paranoid everytime I so much as push the "w" key when playing as Pyro, fearful that people will mistake me for one of them.
Yeah, I've seen that, too. Alot of pyro players don't realize you can extinguish burning teammates with the airblast. I usually help out with the Jarate or whatever

I really don't like the Engi, because many players put the sentries in the same place every map. A sentry in an unexpected place can wreck havoc on the opposing team. Also, I hate sitting and waiting, and camping, which is also why I'm a Huntsman sniper.
