I'd like to keep my human body as long as possible. When I'm about 70 then I'll go for a full cyborg conversion simply as a way of surviving.

Yes, but don't completely replace my body, just enhance it. I don't want to die if I get hit by an EMP or if someone throws a magnet at my head.

Also, I'd like to keep my brain, since computers can't do any of that anyway. Maybe just add a small calculator chip to it somehow, then you've got human creativity and intuitiveness, with machine precision and calculation.

Maybe remove a useless organ and replace it with a small computer, recharged from the mains via a socket on my back a-la matrix? Why not hard-wire contact lenses into my eyes that give me a HUD and enhanced vision?

Man, I should so be a spy when I get all that.

I think a lot of the best implants for primarily-biological cyborgs are cranial stuff such as memory extensions, ocular implants (camera, zoom, alternative vision modes etc) and direct human-computer neural interface. The physical stuff is less interesting over all.

I think if it were a prosthetic limb I'd want it as usable as possible so if it is a hihly mechanical thing then better than a lump of plastic that doesn't bend and of course only have it to replace something in case of an accident, I'm not going around hacking anything off just for the sake of it.

Playing with my brain would be something to be a lot more cautious about though.
