If any of you wish to destroy humanity, the only choice is to include yourself to the mix, because no matter how much you try to deny, you're part of humanity, and you're just as good and bad as the rest. And you may be the worst for killing off the rest.

How have we messed this planet up? Only humans know how much we messed it up, the environment, mother nature and the universe couldn't care any less what we do. Animals only care of their own survival, and if given a choice, they won't kill off everyone of their own species if they're given the chance to. Self-termination of our own kind makes us worser than animals.

I would enslave it. If you put enough salt mines, propoganda, and poverty into the mix, then you could last for decades before the steriotypical "Luke Skywalker" rises from the ashes to overthrow you... and then continue your legasy.

What I would REALLY like to do is take a few million level headed individuals from this planet (you know, ones that dont threaten to kill you if you dont beleive in their god) samples of all the flora and fauna from Earth, fuck off and find a new planet. One where the population, pollution and destruction would be ideally kept low. Earth can implode on itself after that for all I care.

No, of course not, what kinda question is that?

Only people who would vote yes to this question are emo teens or bond villians.

I don't think the Escapist community has any bond villians, or do we?

Ok FYI, humanity ISN'T responsible for global warming as much as we'd like to arrogantly THINK we are, but we also like to arrogantly think we're the big bright centre of the Universe too.
As for destroying humanity, don't tempt me. There are certainly days where I feel like I'd like to wipe out our entire pathetic little species. Right now, I don't know...

Considering us humans have made quite a mess of the planet; with global warming and the lack of resources to sustain our way of living causing tensions to spark between the global superpowers, which might become nuclear (just a hunch, don't worry). Would you destroy humanity to save all other life as we know it? If so, please explain how.
Yes I would, but for none of the reasons you just listed.

Yes definetly. Illuminati, recruit me. Every human is a potential target and a will-be prick. There's no reason to believe in humans. Just look at the disgusting ignorance that rule over most people. What, I'm supposed to believe that they are going to learn? That they're going to grow up some day and not act like fucking douchebags? Nah, people don't change. Idiots will remain idiots and thus planet Earth will continue to suffer beneth the terror that is man.

So yeah, I'd destroy humans any day
It's ironic that you have the most ignorant post in this thread so far. Condemning the whole of humanity for the actions of a minority of the population?

Destroy it? No, unless there was a vastly superior race that I could join. Change it? That would be a much better idea.

but i would like to see the world for a while first, maybe go exploring first, then pull out a magic button and it would all implode in a matter of seconds

Never. yeah, we may have fucked with the environment in the past, but now everyone is much more aware to care for the planet.

If humanity will inevitably destroy itself in the end, what's the difference if we do it now?

If humanity ends during my lifetime with or without my influence, it would be too bothersome and thus not worth it. Besides, we haven't figured out why we have life in the first place, i don't wanna quit on this experiment in the middle...

Real men make their own pancakes.
