It depends what type of immortality we are talking about. You can be immortal but die from accidents or you can be immortal and, well, be somewhat like Wolverine from X-men with fast regeneration, or you could just be immune to everything. Even if we talk about the first option, the same happens with normal people - we die in accidents, often when we are still very young, so we can't have a replacements - thats to be expected. Rate of this would remain the same. So who would replace the perished immortals then? Children of people who decided to be still mortal and be able to have kids.
