Poll: Xbox avatar's need better stuff

This is more of a rant on the xbox live avatar's in general today i went through looking for stuff to custamise my avatar like me but instead of getting a jacket which looks near enough like mine i ended up settling for a left 4 dead 2 awarded shirt this being because the choice is very poor. I mean if your outside the usa football shirts you have no choice at all (i do like texas longhorns but shh).

And finally the fact i was looking for a gun of some sort i mean i can understand them not putting in real guns for the avatar's but maybe a BB or nerf gun would look cool. Think about it you spend about 360 gamer points for a big daddy suit and you don't even get the built in drill so it dosen't look like a big daddy. I mean for games like modern warefair i would of thought a sure bet on getting your favorite guns but instead you have to settle for a riot shield.

I could argue how xbox live avatar items are already way overpriced.

So who agrees better stuff for the avatars for xbox live or edleast cheaper prices cause ill be fine sticking with clothes but sometink a bit better at the end of the day we are paying for xbox live.

Exaclty i mean its not fair on goths, anime kids, emos, charvs and the such like because you have to dress like xbox says instead of how we really do.

I don't see the point in any of the stuff... Yeah you can make it look cool and what ever.

But paying actual money for it?

The idea baffles me.

Why do you need all this stuff to make something look cool?

I could maybe see if stuff was unlocked by achievements like you got X gamer score and you unlocked new clothes... But why pay real money to improve an avatar?

That is a fair point i mean i know there doing now xbox live avatar awards but i really carn't be bothered with most of them. (A few on left 4 dead 2 i like'd)

My desire for a gothic dress comes from my interest in anime actaully.

Yeah thats fair enough animes cool, Specially death note anyway. I wasent trying to put people into categorys by that its just people have those dress senses. I used to be a goth with my long mullet and Iron maiden hoodie.

Im not a big fan of Final fantasy however i would have thought they would of done a few avatar awards (but then again i was expecting that from bioshock 2)

Yeah, they definitely need more clothing styles. Until they have a decent range that I don't have to pay for I'm going to stick with my ODST suit.

This just kind of makes me think that with 'I disagree', you're saying "No! They're too good! Give them less options!"

On your question, I don't care for Xbox avatars. My friend likes to spend FUCKING HOURS on them, it's just boring.
I just wanted to say that other stuff.

Just because we have more then others does not mean there is a reason to be any less ambitious.

I bet the guy who thought of the avatar idea for Xbox is laughing at all these people who actually buy stuff for them. They should release the option to change the colour of your gamercard for £8, I wouldn't be surprised if something as simple as that earned them a fortune.

Who the fuck buys things for their avatar? That is the biggest waste of money!
I'm all for avatar awards, they are quite cool although still essentially useless. It seems ridiculous to me that anyone would pay actual money for that stuff on its own though, especially considering how expensive it is. A couple of avatar items could buy you a game off XBLA which actually does something and might even have avatar awards anyway.
Does anyone really care all that much about their avatar? It's a nice extra feature but I wouldn't at all miss it if it was gone.

Don't really know, don't have an Xbox 360. However, I wouldn't be complaining, you guys have way more customisation that us PS3 folks on this front.
