I only bought a few things, because I had a couple Microsoft Points left over one day. A Fable 2 shirt, and a Monkey Island eyepatch that I never wear. I will never waste my money again. But I do love that Fable 2 shirt. Cheaper prices. There's enough stuff.

The items are way to expensive. Seriously 240 points for a shirt?

I've yet to buy any items from the store, and unless something amazing comes across I probably won't buy anything.

Lets say the prices were more realistic, maybe half the price they charge now, then yeah, I'd probably be tempted.

They really do need it cheaper and better. I'm technically paying over £2 for a shirt for my avatar, which has no real use, to wear.
See your paying £2 for a shirt on xbox live which has not much physicall use when you could buy a real shirt for about £2.

Well they do need more Avatar Awards. I imagine when a game like Halo Reach comes out, they'll put out a full Spartan Noble 6 armor for the avatar. (I seriously want Spartan armor for the Avatars)

Who has enough time to worry about what their avatar looks like? It doesn't even do anything. At least Home on PSN lets you use the thing to interact and your Mii on the Wii is used in most Nintendo branded games. MS seems like they just didn't want to be left out. Oooh let me dress up my considerably useless avatar in clone armor that costs 900000 MS points...nah, I'm ok.

Yes they do, although they need to be a hell of a lot cheaper, and items should stay out permanently. It's ridiculous that some items of them are only seen for about 5 seconds.

It would be nice if avatar's had a bit more interaction as well, so they don't feel like such a waste.

Here's just a small list:

* = Ones you'd think would be obvious to anyone who wants money

Portal:
Portal device*
Companion Cube*

Half-Life:
Freeman's armour/suit*

Fallout 3:
Brotherhood of Steel armour
Enclave armour
Reilly's Rangers armour

Halo:
Spartan armour*

Bioshock 1/2:
Little Sister syringe
Splicer masks
A bent golf club

Mass Effect 2:
Garrus' armour (so having the eyepiece actually looks right)
A Quarian suit...
Hell, any of the teams outfits people would like.

I got a lightsaber.

What more do you want?
One which doesn't cost 400MS but is only held for about 5 seconds...

I have a garrus eye patch.......thats it..... and maybe a lightsaber but thats it. They need more free avatar gear, more (and I mean MORE) avatar awards or cheaper prices. for $5 you can buy an item that your avatar holds for 20 seconds and for $10 you can buy a freaking game or dlc! The best avatar prop in on the market place is that floating ball oracle thing from halo, and its free.

All most people do is make endless imitations of celebrities or buy barely amusing movable bits. It's a waste of money (and don't tell me it isn't - it is).

Everyone also seems to put shades on all their avatars, which makes me dismiss them as one-dimensional.

I made mine a flagrantly colourful hippy, who gives the kiddies drugs and enthralls you with his John Lennon hippy shades (these ones are an exception, because they are colourful rather than just bloody black).

Monocles also gain my utmost approval, since my Escapist avatar needs one.

And it's all free, what I use, because I'm not an idiot.

I can't argue with the notion that more stuff is better, however I'm pretty satisfied with what I've already bought and I can't imagine wanting to modify my outfit, except maybe by adding the Toy Soldiers German Picklehaube Helmet, which is a free Avatar Reward.

I made this outfit on the first day of the Avatar Marketplace for 320 points, which cost me a whopping 228 whole pence, and I've yet to see anything available, free or otherwise, that I prefer, so I don't really care about what new stuff they do or don't release.

I wish I could dress my avatar up as a pirate or something.
You can, there are a couple of Pirate hats, a few Pirate suits and an eyepatch in the Monkey Island SE collection.

Where do you shop for clothes? Personally, shirts costs £5 upwards.

Hey, are you the guy from youtube?

OP, your poll. It has two options, 'I disagree' & 'The avatars are fine atm'.
This just kind of makes me think that with 'I disagree', you're saying "No! They're too good! Give them less options!"

On your question, I don't care for Xbox avatars. My friend likes to spend FUCKING HOURS on them, it's just boring.
I just wanted to say that other stuff.
for the last time NO! i only heard of that kid after i signed up!
